Tradition can be a hard. It can be hard to let it go. It can be hard to hold on to. The question that has to be asked is “how should the church establish traditions?” Join us as we read together from Mark 7:1-13, and allow the encounter described between Jesus and the Pharisees guide us on the matter.

This week we look at Hebrews 12:19-29 looking at how Jesus is Exalted in Holiness. He is perfectly Holy and is making us more holy as well each day. We are invited into His kingdom seen as his children, and so we need to rid ourselves of everything that is not holy and continue to call on his purifying power.

This week we look at Hebrews 11 and parts of 12 looking all those who have come before and who were commended for their faith. Faith is not a blind leap, or a lost wandering, it is confidant assurance of God’s working out of His will in our lives. What is hindering or clouding your relationship with God this week, and how can you continue to trust in Him who can do great things through us?

Hebrews 8:13 says "in speaking of a New Covenant, he makes the first one obsolete. And what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away." Join us as we read into Hebrews 9:1 - 10:18 and gain a broad understanding of why the Old Covenant has passed away, and rejoice in the New Covenant which Christ offers.

Listen how God is moving all through this world, how he has created us to be missional people, and how we can be on mission wherever we go!

This morning we're continuing our series through the book of Hebrews looking at chapter 8. What does it mean that Jesus is the mediator of a better covenant? Was the Old Covenant deficient? Join us as we explore these questions and more.

This week we look at how we can remain faithful in Christ. Hebrews warns us to not become lazy, and to not be discouraged in doing the Fathers will, but to be encouraged by the Love that Christ has for you and everyone! How are you remaining faithful to God’s will in your current season of life?

As we continue to dig deeper in the book of Hebrews what is evidently clear is that salvation is not granted to us by our obedience, but it is given to all who have faith in the Lord! Do you believe that He will do what He says He will do?

Today’s message looks at Jesus exalted as our mediator, as our high priest who rules forever. The highest priest who was able to offer himself as the final sacrifice that is everlasting, deserves our reverent worship. How can you adjust your life to revolve around your worship of God?

As we look at Hebrews 2, we see the humanity of Jesus displayed clearly for us. The author challenges us to read the words of Jesus ‘very carefully’ and to apply to our life diligently.

This Sunday we’re starting a new series through the book of Hebrews. Join us as LAC Elder Paki Mahe kicks us off extolling the glory and majesty of Jesus from Hebrews chapter 1.

He is risen! This morning we celebrate our resurrected Saviour. The one who died, defeating death and sin, freeing all those who believe in him from its consequence and power.

As we finish off this series walking through the minor Prophets, we finish with Malachi who calls his people to complete and utter repentance. Now is the time to repent of our sins, because there will come a day soon when Jesus will return, and with His return He will bring His judgement.

As we look at the prophet Joel, we see the call of God for His people to rend their hearts. Turn to God, not just outwardly, but inwardly too!

We begin this week by looking at the few two postexilic prophets speaking hope to the people of Judah. The remnant of Judah has returned to Jerusalem, but they have begun to neglect God again, and have set him aside. God calls us to continue to rebuild our lives around Him. Where is He leading you? Have you neglected that call, or are you pursuing it diligently?

As we look at Obadiah we see a prophet speaking to the brother nation of Israel - Edom. Edom (or Esau) was the brother of Jacob, and they were always at odds with each other. Over 1500 years after Jacob and Esau lived, their descendants, the Israelites and the Edmonites, still fought one other and still had hated for one another. What is your attitude towards God like today? When he speaks, do you listen? Habakkuk sets a wonderful example for how to approach God in times of trial with humility, and how to respond when his word isn’t what we’d like it to be.

God disciplines because He loves, and unlike earthly parents, He gets it 100% correct 100% of the time! Join us as we dive deeper into the hope Zephaniah speaks to Judah, and to us today.

As we continue to study the minor prophets, this week we’re back talking about Nineveh, Assyria, and Judah. God does not let injustice go unpunished, yet he is slow to anger, abounding in love and has grace upon grace for you!

“And what is required of you? To Act Justly, To Love Mercy, and to Walk Humbly with your God.” God requires not our rituals, he desires our humble obedience. Join us this week as we dive into what this entails

Much like Hosea’s relationship with Gomer, God’s relationship with the Israelites shows an unfaithful people. Even though God is loving and faithful, Israel time and time again continues to choose to love idols instead of God himself. Our call is to remain faithful to Him despite what the world may through at us.

As we continue to look at the minor prophets, we are reminded of the justice that God brings. Because he embodies perfect justice and mercy in the Son, Jesus, we are freed from the condemnation of our sin.

Jonah challenges us to look at our own heart and at our own character - Are we comfortable with who God choose to love, and how he sends us to share that love?

As we start the new year, we are reminded of the love of Christ and how we are saved, being saved, and one day we will be saved. What do you need to lay down at the cross today?
