What is love? (And do not say ‘baby don’t hurt me’). What does true love look like? Far from fairy tales and the societal expectations of ‘love’, we see true, perfect, and an all-encompassing love from our Father in the birth of His son, Our redeemer, Jesus Christ.

Its a familiar, triumphant melody—heard in countless versions—and it echoes everywhere this time of year. It naturally raises a question: What kind of joy is this season inviting us into? And how does that joy show up amid the ordinary, messy rhythm of daily life and stir in us a sense of Hope in this season?

Its a matter of fact that stress levels, daily anxiety, and overall worry have only increased in the general population in the last several years. How does the season that trumpets words like “love,” “joy,” and “peace” also produce more worry? Christ invites us to a life beyond the worries that plague our daily lives.

We might be surprised to see that the first Christmas was prefaced with some real people with real stories of hopelessness. You could say hope was a rare commodity back then, and you may even feel that way today. But that’s why Christmas and the Good News of Jesus is so imperative for us. He gives us Hope in the waiting, hope in the chaos, hope that is anchored in God’s truth, and in His word!

Jesus’ words are an invitation to rest with Him - “Come to Me..” is the gentle voice of the Son of God speaking to us and asking us to partner with him in everything we do. Take his yoke for it is easy and light. How can you surrender to Christ this week?

We're wrapping up our series 'Grown from Grace' with Ephesians 6:10-17, the Armour of God.

We've been freed from the law to live in the Spirit. What does that mean? How does the indwelling Holy Spirit impact the believer's relationship to God's commandments? What is the Spirit's purpose as He lives within us? Join us as we explore Galatians 5 and talk about the fruit of the Spirit; the work that He completes in us, and the power that He gives those who put their faith in Christ.
