Abraham’s wife Sarah dies and Abraham seeks a wife for his only son Isaac. He trusts that God will provide and God does provide even before the prayer is spoken.

God dealt differently with Abraham and Lot and others in the Old Testament, and it can be difficult to understand the reason for some events that have been recorded for us in this passage.

Job 40-42 Today we finish the book of Job. We read God’s description of great creatures, probably what we know of as dinosaurs, and the repentance that comes when God speaks to Job and his friends. Job’s wealth is restored in double measure and we have a happy ending to Job’s story.
