John 9 gives us the answer to the question: Why does God allow suffering? Allow your heart to be calmed and to rest in the hope that there is something beyond this life that brings purpose to our suffering.

The shoes we choose to wear can slow us down or help us, make a good impression or a bad one. What does it mean to have our feet fitted with the readiness of the gospel of peace? Our natural tendency is to use the way we are smart to glorify ourselves, but we can consider instead how our smarts can bring glory to God.

We can recognize that God is the giver of all good things and accept what He gives with gratefulness.
