The suspect is accused of setting five separate fires along a 2.5-mile stretch of road in Penn Valley. 

Repairs to the first discharge pipe at the Spaulding 1 Powerhouse have been completed and about 460 cubic feet per second of water is now flowing into the Drum Canal, which feeds Rollins Reservoir. 

Butte, Plumas, Shasta and Tehama counties have all been impacted by the fire and at least 100 structures have been destroyed so far.

 Butte County District Attorney Mike Ramsey announced the arrest came after an unknown male was seen pushing a car on fire into a gully in upper Bidwell Park east of Chico shortly before 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, the day the fire started.
