Numbers 7, Psalms 64, Luke 20 Numbers 7 is a detailed description of each families specific offering of the Tabernacle. Psalms 64 is a very clear prayer request and declaration. Luke 20 the authority of Jesus is questioned. Jesus talks about taxes, marriage and law.

In Numbers 5-6 we read about how to purify the camp, test unfaithful, become a Nazirite and how to bless the people. Psalms 63 is a passage about praising the Lord. Luke 19 Jesus has dinner with Zacchaeus and teaches in parables.

Numbers 3-4, Psalms 62, Luke 18 God is a God of order and structure as illustrated in the book of Numbers. I love the shift in David’s writing in Psalms 62. Luke 18 Jesus speaks in more parables.

Numbers 1-2, Psalms 61, Luke 17 There is power in numbers in the book of Numbers. Psalms 61 Davids attitude is turning around as his words sound more hopeful. Luke 17 Jesus discusses the mysteries of the Kingdom of heaven.

Leviticus 26-27, Psalms 60, Luke 16 God is being very clear that the principles of this earth are cause and effect. He is very serious but at end of chapter 26 He also says he is looking at the heart. Psalms 60 David seems very burdened still. Luke 16 Jesus talks in parables and mentions the realities of hell.

Leviticus 25, Psalms 59, Luke 15 God explains how to honor the Sabbath year and year of Jubilee. David is still anguished because of his enemies. In Luke 15 Jesus shares more parables.

Leviticus 23-24, Psalms 58, Luke 14 God is still going through the process of teaching and growing a new people set apart to be holy. Psalms 58 David is still frustrated. Luke 16 Jesus is teaching people how to live.

Leviticus 21-22, Psalms 57, Luke 13 God is talking about the priests. Psalms 57 David speaks in poetic prayer. Luke 13 Jesus heals a crippled woman and tells the parable is the mustard seed.

Leviticus 19-20, Psalms 56, Luke 12 God is going deeper into real issues of the heart and how to live. Psalms 56 David continues to lead by example on how to pray. Luke 12 is super packed with wisdoms and insight from Jesus himself.

Leviticus 17-18, Psalms 55, Luke 11 God is breaking old beliefs from Egyptian culture to be a new people set apart as God’s people. I’m Psalms 55 David is so burdened by attacks of his enemies. Luke 11 Jesus calls out the hypocrisy of the Pharisees and teaches the Lord’s Prayer.

Leviticus 15-16, Psalms 54, Luke 10 The details in Leviticus 16 & 16 continue to demonstrate the grandness of being in the presence of God. Psalms 54 we see how to pray. Luke 10 Jesus is teaching people how to live and how to minister in the spirit. Jesus is dropping some wisdom!!

The wisdom of God the creature of mankind has wisdom beyond our understanding and Leviticus 14 is just that. Psams 53 is short and a little somber. Luke 9 is full of powerful and exciting teachings of Jesus.

Leviticus 13, Psalms 52, Luke 8 Leviticus 13 talks about skin diseases and mold. Psalms 52 explains that all evil will be exposed. Luke 8 Jesus so elegantly tells parables and heals the sick.

Leviticus 11-12, Psalms 51, Luke 7 God teaches people what is clean and unclean to eat. Psalms 51 King David is pouring out his repenting heart to God. Luke 7 the people are wondering who is this prophet that he would have the authority to forgive sins.

Leviticus 7-8, Psalms 49, Luke 5 In Leviticus you may wonder why God goes into so much detail regarding the rituals of sacrifices or atonement for sins. I think it is because it is a build up to show the significance of the final sacrifice of Jesus death on the cross. Psalms 49 is soooo good!!! It I worth reading over and over!! Luke 5 Jesus heals and calls his first disciples.

Leviticus 5-6, Psalms 48, Luke 4 Leviticus God continues to teach the Israelites how to live a good and holy life. Psalms teaches how to worship and usher in the presence of God. Luke 4 teaches us that a prophet is not welcome in his own home. Therefore, we should not be surprised when it is difficult to influence the ones we love the most.

Leviticus 3-4, Psalms 47, Luke 3 Leviticus 3-4 seems very gruesome as it talks about sacrifices but the important part is to see the seriousness of sin. Psalms 47 is s gentle reminder that God always shows up. Luke 3 talks about John the Baptist and the lineage of Joseph.

Leviticus 1-2, Psalms 46, Luke 2 We enter the book of Leviticus which is not the most exciting book but the larger principles are the things to look out for. Psalms 46 gives us hope and certainty that God will show up and the whole earth will exalt him. Luke 2 is another desriplio of Jesus birth and life.

Exodus 39-40, Psalms 45, Luke 1 Today we close the book of Exodus and begin the book of Luke. Psalms 45 is a poem honoring a king. Luke was probably a doctor and writing to the Gentiles.

Exodus 37-38, Psalms 44, Mark 16 The climactic point of the Bible is Jesus dying on the cross. The Old Testament builds up to this point and the New Testament launches off this point. In Exodus we discuss the spiritual significance of the tabernacle furnishings that God described in detail? Psalms 44 David sounds in despair again.

Exodus 35-36, Psalms 43, Mark 15 Today’s reading felt very sad to me. Psalms 43 David seems depressed and Mark 15 the crucifixion of Jesus set the stage a somber feeling. Exodus 35-36 was interesting to see God be so attentive to details.
