ತೆನಾಲಿ ರಾಮ ರಾಜ ಕೃಷ್ಣದೇವರಾಯನ ಅಸ್ಥಾನದ ವಿಕಟಕವಿ, ಅರ್ತಾತ್ ಹಾಸ್ಯಗಾರ . ಇವನು ಹೇಗೆ ರಾಜನ ಆಸ್ಥಾನವನ್ನು ಸೇರಿದ ಅಂತ ಈ ಕತೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೆ. Tenali Rama was the comedian in King Krishnadevaraya's court. This story tells how he reached the king's court. first time and became a member in the king's court.

ನೀವು ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ಸುಳ್ಳು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಲೇ ಇದ್ದರೆ ಮತ್ತು ಮೋಸ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರೆ, ಒಂದು ದಿನ ನೀವು ಸತ್ಯವನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿದರೂ ಅಥವಾ ನೀವು ನಿಜವಾಗಿಯೂ ತೊಂದರೆಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದರೂ ಯಾರೂ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ನಂಬುವುದಿಲ್ಲ(If you keep lying and cheating all the time then someday nobody will trust you even if you say the truth or if you are in real trouble).

ಈ ಸಣ್ಣ ಕಥೆನಲ್ಲಿ ನಾವು ತಿಳಿಯುವ ನೀತಿ ಏನೆಂದರೆ , ಇತರರ ಬಳಿ ಇರುವುದನ್ನು ನಾವು ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ಅಸೂಯೆಪಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರೆ, ದುರಾಸೆಯ ನಾಯಿಯಂತೆ ನಾವು ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ಹೊಂದಿರುವುದನ್ನು ಕಳೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇವೆ (If we envy about the things that others have then we will definitely loose what we have with us at present).

ಈ ಕತೆಯ ಸಾರಾಂಶ ಸ್ನೇಹವನ್ನು ಗಾತ್ರ, ಬಣ್ಣ, ಜಾತಿ, ಬುದ್ದಿವಂತಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಳೆಯಬೇಡಿ ಬದಲಿಗೆ ನಂಬಿಕೆ, ಪ್ರೀತಿ, ಗೌರವದಿಂದ ಸ್ನೇಹವನ್ನ ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸಿ ಎಂಬುದು. The summary of this story is that don't measure friendship by size, colour, caste, or intelligence but accept friendship with trust, love and respect.

ಈ ಕತೆಯ ಸಾರಾಂಶ -ಸೌಲಭ್ಯಗಳನ್ನ ಕೊಟ್ಟು ಸ್ವತಂತ್ರನ ಕೊಡ್ದೆ ಹೋದ್ರೆ ಯಾವ ಸುಖಾನು ಕಾಣಲ್ಲ, ಸೌಲಭ್ಯಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಸ್ವತಂತ್ರನೇ ಮುಖ್ಯ. Summary of this story - freedom is more important than the facilities.

ಈ ಕತೆಯಿಂದ ತಿಳಿಯುವುದೇನೆಂದರೆ “ದುರಾಸೆಯೇ ದುಃಖದ ಮೂಲ”. This story tells us that “Greed is the root of misery”.
