Jesus Time!

I think Peter was the only disciple who failed after he already knew Jesus… I mean failed big! Knowing that and reading first and second Peter brings me so much encouragement and comfort! As I drove into my Jesus time today, I was so encouraged to read Peter‘s words of grace. Listen in to hear God’s sweet reminder through Peter to keep faith and effort in the right order💗

It was so interesting to hear her take-away from four weeks of concentrated boot camp Jesus time. I love how she is so honest and transparent!

Have you ever wondered why it’s the fruit of the spirit and not fruits of the spirit? There are nine qualities but a singular noun🤷🏻‍♀️. In my Jesus time, He showed me how these qualities are the result of one thing.

Growing up with an absent father, I had a lot of heart issues that were difficult and even a little damaging. When I met Jesus, He was so kind to re-father me. Just when I thought His redemption was complete, He shows me still more. I got to meet a brother I never knew existed, and God use that powerfully to heal parts of my heart I didn’t even know needed healing.

On our vacation, Frank and I ran into a HUGE protest. Hundreds of angry people (mostly women) holding pro-abortion signs and some anti- men signs broke my heart… until God showed me His presence and plan the following morning. If you are overwhelmed or discouraged by what our world or media promotes, listen in to hear God’s response.

First John five talks about obedience to God not being a burden. But what if it is? My incomplete understanding of obedience and God‘s love made me struggle! Through His word and a friend’s teaching, I think I get it now. At least I get it just a little bit more.

We will never fully grasp who God is, but we will often misunderstand who He is. Listen in to hear the three different Jesus times God used to reveal part of Himself (Yahweh) to me, plus a scheme of the enemy that tries to lessen who God is in our eyes.

Parenting is hard, and God just gave me the sweetest example and encouragement through His word. God is the best parent, and I love his heart towards His kids!

Do you ever feel stuck between what you are genuinely burdened to do and what you think you should do? I was so stuck! As a female leader, I was listening to so many opinions and so worried about doing the wrong thing, that I couldn’t even clearly see the right thing. God spoke to me in such an exciting way and has completely set me free to move forward without hesitation🙌🏽

Have you ever been so consumed by your own failure that you cannot even look up? You guys, I experienced that and was so embarrassed and discouraged. Listen in to hear how God address my failure, my sin, my embarrassment and discouragement. He is the best!!

Have you ever discipled someone and had no idea what to do? Sometimes discipleship can feel like you are putting together a puzzle without the picture on the box to guide you. Do you ever have a hard time discerning when it’s OK to rest? Yes, God has given us the Sabbath as a gift so that we might incorporate rest into our rhythm. But what if you’re exhausted on the other six days? Is it OK to rest when it’s not technically the Sabbath? Listen in to hear about Jesus’ example and how we can imitate Him in this area.

Casting your cares on to God is always easier said than done. BUT God is so sweet to tell us in His word how to get there. Listen in to hear the two qualities that go hand-in-hand with giving him all your anxieties. (1 Peter 5:5-7)

Have you ever been excited about sharing something and then were quickly dismissed? The women who first discovered the empty tomb experienced a not so nice reception to their discovery. I wonder if what happened next was God’s response to these doubting disciples😁
