We want God to do new things in our lives, and we have a God who is a God of new things. His character shows that He is a God of new things.

Christ commissioned his servants to follow His example and take the gospel to every creature. Believers today are under the same commission to take the glorious light of the gospel to the condemned of Adam's race wherever they may be found.

There are many infallible proofs of Christ's resurrection. In this passage, we find 11 proofs that should stir our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Joseph of Arimathaea was a secret disciple because he feared the Jews. Something changed at the crucifixion. What changed him? The Cross transformed his life.

There are twelve events of mocking Christ as He goes to the cross. However, there are four events of triumph on the cross. The triumph of the cross crushes any mockery the world can offer.

Pilate is typical of those who present some political issues to the Christian. We do not look for persecution, but it will come. Christ is our example of how to react to persecution.

Why did Peter fail? He is the same as everyone of us. We must learn from his failure in order that we don't repeat it.

Jesus would go through six separate trials. The way He faces these trials is our example when we too face trials, both physical and spiritual.

There are six characters to study in this passage. From each one, whether good or bad, we can learn how to or how not to live.

Christ was in agony and sorrow because of the suffering and separation from God that was forthcoming. This was His need of prayer. If Jesus needed to pray, we certainly need to pray.

The activities of the Lord's Table picture the Lord Jesus Christ. As an ordinance of the church, we are reminded of the sacrifice of Christ every time we partake of the Lord's Supper.

Jesus appeals one last time for Judas the sinner to repent. From Christ's example, we can learn how to appeal to sinners for their repentance.

Judas was irresponsible and in the wrong in betraying Jesus. We today can fail God, and we should take care to learn from the failure of Judas.

Mary took something very precious to her and gave it to the Lord. What is precious to you? and What are you doing with it?

The Passover was a picture of the Lord Jesus Christ. At the first passover, a lamb was slain to protect their homes. Christ is the Lamb slain to take away our sins.

Christ uses a fig tree to show when His second coming will be. His coming again will take place after the Tribulation.

Jesus is not telling us when these things are going to happen. He is teaching what will be the signs of the end times. At the end of the Tribulation, the Lord will come.

This is the most terrible signs of the nine signs given by Jesus Christ in the Olivet Discourse. There is nothing to be compared to it. In God's mercy, He takes out the saved prior to the beginning of the Tribulation.

The Abomination of Desolation happens three and a half years into the Tribulation, the very mid-point of those terrible years. This occurs when the Antichrist breaks his covenant with Israel and seeks to rule the world. It will be a terrible time on earth.

There are eight signs of the Tribulation given here by Christ. They cover the first half of the Great Tribulation, preceding the abomination of desolation which occurs at the midpoint of the Tribulation.

Christ gives His disciples signs of the tribulation. These signs have not come to pass for they come after the rapture of His saints.

Jesus is not prophesying of the Rapture. Rather, He is prophesying of the Great Tribulation that is to come after the Rapture. In these verses, He covers the beginning of sorrows.

One of the biggest ways to see our service is in our giving. This giving is not just monetary, it encompasses all facets of life. Here we are taught four characteristics of giving in the example of the poor widow.

The servant should bring honor to his master, not to himself. The Pharisees were more interested in honoring themselves rather than God.

It is necessary to realize that Jesus is the Promised Messiah. His claim to this title has been attacked by the religious leaders repeatedly, but it does not change reality. For Christ is the Messiah.
