Habby Hour!

The regular season is finally here! We finally get to see what the Martin St-Louis era has in store for us, as well as seeing all of the lads develop! There are a lot of new faces, and a lot of uncertainty, but as the Habs have already showed us in a young season, they will not be taking anything sitting down. The gang get together to talk about the first four games of the season!

And that's a wrap on a regrettably awful preseason! But, as MSL said himself, the preseason is a stress test, and now we all eagerly await the start of the regular season on Wednesday! We talk about the somewhat curious case of Arber Xhekaj, the opening night roster, and a bit about Mailloux and the state of sports in general.

The preseason continues and with the completion of the game tonight the Habs are still searching for the first win before the regular season starts! Dave and Veronica are on the pod tonight and they discuss what exactly that means.

As the name implies, training camp is FINALLY underway! The Habs invited an eye popping 74 players to their camp which includes 9 goalies. We could not record at our usual time, so we also talk a little about the preseason games so far, and how expectations for Slafkovsky are, uh, WAY out of touch.

The worst kept secret in Habs hockey is now out in the open, Nick Suzuki has been named Captain! This coming during the mythical Habs Golf Day which has a history of naming the leadership group among the players. Also, there is big news regarding Price, and a couple of contracts, and much more! Like those atrocious ads, BLEGH.

Uh oh! Some technical problems on Dave's end meant that people will be able to see more of his recording space! After fretting about that, the whole crew go over the latest Habs news, where the most exciting thing was seeing Slafkovsky in a full Habs kit on the ice at the rookie showcase! Also, Therrien and Bouchard working the same job??

A lot of golf happened this week. Veronica weighs in on the Monahan trade, and on the women's hockey side of things Montreal has a team! The Montreal Force!

Did anyone get the power point on the Monahan trade? Cause we're still looking into it! Also, some unwelcome news came this past week in regards to Price's health that has once again cast doubt on his return this season.

Another week with sparse news. Aside from some highlights at the World Juniors and, of course, Carey Price's birthday!

The World Juniors have begun! However, when it comes to Habs news it was not close to the biggest piece of news in the past week. Marc Dumont was fired from the Habs, which came as a surprise to the crew! This is discussed, as well as a bit about Mysak, Slafkovsky, and more on this week's episode!

Welcome back and listen to another episode of Dave horribly mispronouncing names! Aside from that, Veronica is back! Even though now it's Beth turn to have a night off. The Free Agency Frenzy has officially started! The Habs are having cap troubles, but despite this have signed a number of depth players as well as kept one of the surprises from last season! This past week of Habs hockey has been rather lackluster despite an OT win against Tampa over the weekend. Tonight was underscorred by a loss against the Senators as familiar issues plague the team that Dave makes sure everyone knows about. Special teams!
