Some exciting games in the past week that show how much different this Habs team is now compared to what was going on in the beginning of the season! Before, it seemed as if all hope was lost if the Habs were scored on first, and the game completely out of reach if they went down by two. But, now? You can expect the group to keep playing until the very end. Just ask Rem Pitlick!

The MSL continues to hold as the Habs deliver a pretty normal week! Going 2-1 in the past 3 games with a weird tilt against Winnipeg followed by riveting come backs against Calgary and Edmonton. We cover the games, some new staff, another set of unfortunate injuries, and the general gossip around the NHL in this episode of the Habby Hour!

In a RARE episode of the Habby Hour where there is hardly ANY bad Habs news! Les gars are on a 5 game win streak for the first time since 2017 (or so) and show no signs of slowing down. Aside from the wins and the hiring of a new assistant general manager, there is not a ton to talk about. So, naturally our hosts cover everything from Kanye to Ukraine in tonight's episode!

It started rocky, but the Habs are flying now! Martin St-Louis' concept hockey seems to be clicking for the club since they are finally looking like they are playing coherant hockey. Two wins in extra time led to a routing of the vaunted Toronto Maple Leafs with all of the right gears churning. We have the full crew on for this (actually) happy episode of the Habby Hour!

In a season where the news has been a lot of the same, this past week had a lot for the crew to chew through! Veronica was unavailable but Dave and Beth dive into a coaching change, a new goalie, and most currently the trade of Tyler Toffoli. That news seems to be the biggest shock, despite the fact that a hall of fame legend in Martin St-Louis is now the bench boss for the Habs, and the Hamburgle...

With the Habs on their bye week the previous week there were no games to speak of! So, the Habby Hour crew put some emphasis on Suzuki's role in the NHL All Star weekend, some minor updates to the Habs roster for the games coming up this week, and of course, all of the fun that the very nice folks in Ottawa are having at the expense of the cities citizens!

The Habs won only 1 game in the month of January. Which actually matches the amount of games that they won in December, too! Further to that point, the Habs have won 8 games total, and they are now half way through the season. There is little good to report, be it with the Habs, or even in Canada. The crew do what they can with what they got!

It has finally happened, the start of a new era began last week with the hiring of Kent Hughes as General Manager of the Montreal Canadiens! Unfortunately, this only resulted in limited success on the ice as the Habs went 1-1-2, with yesterday's game against the Wild exclamating a poor performance even in the midst of a poor season.

The Habs, well, still are not good! But, some regular members of the roster returned to the ice today as the Habs try to get themselves back to an NHL standard of play. Unfortunately, some bad news injury wise, coupled with curious officiating, is making an already tough season all the more frustrating.

With a lack of play on the ice due to COVID postponements the gang looked to news off the ice, and it was substantial! Chantal Machabee takes over Paul Wilson's post as Vice President of Communication in the Habs organization to critical acclaim! Of course, there were other things to talk about, especially regarding a recent draft pick. All that and more in this week's Habby Hour!

The whole crew is back for the first episode of the new year! Unfortunately, the past week was yet another let down as the Habs struggled to even ice a team due to a number (16!!!) of players going under COVID protocol. In this peculiar episode Dave takes on the past two weeks of Habs news the best way that he knows how. Alone! Both Beth and Veronica have been unavailable the past two weeks, and instead of having another week without an upload, Dave decided to do a recap. This is the last episode of 2021, and despite the Habs' woes we wish you all a Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and a Happy New Year!

The Habs woes continue, where they have yet to record a win in regulation so far this month. The feel from the players is that the season is lost, and many are looking to what next season holds. A bright spot in the past week, despite the result, was the effort against Tampa. Yet, a lack luster performance later against the Blues leave many of us wondering just what we'll see this coming week.

Jeff Gorton speaks to the press, and the Habs' haphazard season continues, but now add injuries! Yes. More of them. There's some Habs talk, and then a bit of Sopranos and what exactly weebs are in this week's episode.

The Habs drop yet another game, but the story of the week isn't the Habs record, but the movement in the front office. Marc Bergevin, Trevor Timmins, and Paul Wilson have all been relieved of their duties. Another week, another near disaster for the Habs. Despite earning 4 points in 4 games, the continued awful play of the team is costing them bodies as now Jake Allen is injured, leaving the goalie tandem to Sam Montembeault and Cayden Primeau. To highlight the bad, Jeff Petry may need some talking to. To highlight the good, Nick Suzuki is leading the team in points. With all of that, the first half...

There is not a whole lot that can be said about the state of the Habs that has not already been said. Listless efforts, momentum from wins not carrying over, injuries, suspect lines, silence from Bergevin, silence from Molson. There have certainly been better days for the franchise. Despite this, we talk about what news is going on currently, and then Dave talked about a bunch of new movies.

This is the last episode before the start of the regular season! After an interesting waiver grab and a couple of cuts the roster was finalized! The preseason is drawing to a close! The last two games are slated for this week, which means that the regular season (a REAL regular season) will be starting next week! Dave and Veronica go over the news from the previous week, who is cut, who got contracts, and also got a bit into the Lehner tweet storm. And, frankly, a whole lot more was covered as well!
