The first pillar that forms the support structure of our faith is the sovereignty of God. It holds strong when we long for certainty.

Do you ever wonder what happens in Heaven? Worship. Continual worship. That's what happens in heaven. It makes sense, doesn't it? When you are in the presence of the great, holy, and triune God who saves his people, there is nothing else to do besides praise him, for he is worthy.

Anxiety is a real problem in our society and in our daily lives. Join us as we have a time of prayer and then introduce our newest bible study series titled, "Anxiety, Prayer, and the Sovereignty of God."

We can always come home for Christmas -- home to God. He longs for us to come home. How do we know that? He came to us in Christ. Christmas reminds us of his great pursuing love.

How do we live in light of Christ's return and the final establishment of his kingdom? Jesus tells us we are to do at least two things: persist in prayer and humbly rely upon God. Join us as we pray and study God's word together.

Jesus came in a manger. He died on a cross. he rose from the grace. He ascended into Heaven. And, He will return riding on the clouds. Are you getting ready to welcome him? If so, what do you need to be doing to prepare?

God is just, and there is no conflict between his justice and his mercy. We discuss it in this edition of Theology for Life Thursdays.

Jesus told the parable of the 10 virgins to prepare his people for his return. He will come in middle of the night and we must be prepared.

The same Jesus that was born in the manger and wrapped in swaddling clothes grew up, died, rose from the grave, ascended into Heaven, and will return to the earth one day. While we wait for that day, we are to be busy remembering God's promises. waiting for him to return in faith, and preparing our hearts for his eternal kingdom through repentance.

Gratitude and Contentment aren't not natural to any of us. We are born wanting more and more. We have to have our hearts transformed by God's grace before we can learn to be thankful and content in every circumstance. The Apostle Paul learned it through hardship, and we do too.

God's love for you and me is extravagant and the three parables of Luke 15 prove it. Join us as we take a deep dive into them after a time of prayer for our world on this week's edition of The Wednesday Bible Study.

Repentance is essential to Christianity. In fact, you can't be a Christian without it. So, what does it look like? What does it mean to repent? Great questions. We answer them from Rev. 2 and Rom. 2.

Covenants between God and his people in the Bible are always initiated by God, reflect and agreement between him and his people, cut in blood, and mediated by grace. This is no more true than in the New Covenant that God established with us through Jesus Christ as this week's Theology for Life Program explains.

The Parable of the Rich Man and Lazarus is as helpful and encouraging as it is sobering and challenging. May we learn from it in the grace of Christ.

The Church in Thyatira received a challenging letter from Jesus because they had started justifying their sins of idolatry and sexual immorality. Like all of us, they allowed themselves to participate in popular and unholy activities and then sought to change their theology to justify their actions. Jesus called them on it and told them to repent. He says the same to us.

The Bible is one big story of how God entered into a covenant relationship with his people, and that includes all of us. Join us as we think through the implications of the gracious and cohesive way God lives in relationship with us and reveals it to us in the Bible.

Followers of Christ are to use their money wisely for the kingdom of heaven in an effort to build treasure there, not here on earth.

The challenge for every Christian in every generation is whether or not he or she will persevere to the end in faith. Jesus, as the Alpha and the Omega, promised the Christians in Pergamum that they would live with him forever if they overcame the temptation to comprise with the world. Will you resist?

The Church in Smyrna was quite challenged by the spiritual warfare all around them. They were hard-pressed, slandered, forced into poverty, thrown in jail, and even killed for their faith. Persecution is always a threat for the Christian Church. We must be prepared.

Jesus wrote a stunning letter to the congregation in Ephesus in which he commended them for their religious acts of devotions, but rebuked them for their lack of love. They had ceased to let their love for Jesus, for one another, and for the world around provide the beat of their lives. We can do the same. Join us as we think about Jesus's shocking letter.
