Many times, we grow restless in different areas of our lives. While there are times that our lives are benefited by change, often, we learn that acting upon our restlessness led to our hurt and demise. Such is true in our spiritual lives. Consider what happened in John 6 and see if you have or still struggle with a similar issue. It's more prevalent than we care to admit.

Solomon explains that we can't allow ourselves to get worked up when we discover that not everyone respects us like we think we deserve. There's a simple reason for this logic: We've done the exact same thing. Consider what Solomon said and then give attention to how it could apply to you.

It's an amazing thing to consider that we have the undivided attention of God; yet, we know to be true. Tonight's message reminds us that God is constantly thinking about us...no matter who we are.

Missionary Chris Walters preached for us this evening and reminded us of our responsibility, as Christians, to be the light of the world. Thankful for missionaries who are willing to take the light of the gospel to the uttermost parts of the earth.

Two rails run through the life of every individual on this earth. Prosperity and adversity. Solomon reminds us that these rails are a part of our lives by design and the purpose of those rails. A very helpful message, if we allow it to be.

God allowed the perfect storm to take place in the life of Job, and through all of it, Job recognized that God was doing a wondrous work in his life. Often, God allows us to go through the "perfect storm" and it can be a challenge to remember that God is accomplish a wondrous work in our lives. The reminder is appropriate.

Solomon warns against a spirit that is easily angered. When we are easily angered, we respond as fools respond and that is never beneficial to anyone. There's a strong challenge in this simple verse.

We can live in fear as long as we choose, but at some point we need to come to this understanding: Enough is enough. Listen to tonight's message and see how it can help us overcome our fears and doubts in this life.

No matter the spiritual gift God has given us, Paul makes clear they are all needed and equal by way of importance. Paul helps the believers attitude toward gifts in this needed passage.

All of us love to be praised. And while compliments are not wrong, Solomon declares that there is something better than praise, and it comes as a shock to many. Consider what Solomon said and consider how it could be a help to your personal, spiritual life.

In life, we will be forced to make decisions of a spiritual nature that are not easy. The example of Moses shows us how we can make the right decisions and stick with them for the rest of our lives. Please listen and give serious attention to this text.

Every believer has been given a spiritual gift by the Holy Spirit. There is also a designed purpose for that gift. What we must be willing to ask, is: "What is my spiritual gift?", and "Am I using that gift as I ought?". The answer to these questions are very important.

Solomon speaks of people who work to consume and are never satisfied with all they have acquired. It's a problem we see in our culture and churches today. There's a reason for this problem.

Everyone has fears of some nature. Some even fear our government. Tonight's message reminds us to what extent every Christian should fear our government and those who rule over us. The answer may surprise some.

When a person fails to know the truth, they will believe almost anything. The believers of Corinth illustrate this point clearly. We must be willing to ask and answer the question: "Are we a student of the word?".

It's odd that we can have so much and enjoy things so little. It almost makes you wonder if there is a reason for this. Solomon suggest it's not an accident and there may be a fairly obvious reason as to why this is so. It's something to consider.

The way we leave this life is critical. Tonight's passage shows three examples of men who went out "on top". It's a goal that every child of God should have for their lives.

So many times, we get ourselves in trouble because we don't think like we should. The same happens in our spiritual lives. Consider what Paul said to the believers in Corinth and see if it ever happens to you. It's more common than we like to admit.

What does it mean to be a wayside person and how does a person become wayside? This sermon by Bro. Sam Davison answers these questions and also explains some of the side effects of being this type of person. Certainly worth the listen.

Sometimes, God does not answer our request like we would like and that can cause us to struggle with our attitude and feelings. This message by Bro. Chad Stout (a man in our church) reminds us of some simple, yet needed, truths in relation to those times when God says no.

Though we know the things contained in these verses, there are few who do not need the reminder from time to time. Consider what Solomon had to say about money and stuff and see if the reminder is a help to you.

For reasons we will never understand, God tested Abraham in relation to his fear of God by commanding him to offer up Isaac as a sacrifice. Amazingly, Abraham was willing because he trusted in the power of God. Often, we struggle to let God have what we love and that reveals our doubt and fear.

For almost 90 years, Sarah would not be defined as a woman of faith as it related to having a child. However, at age 89 she realized God was faithful, could be trusted, and would one day be listed among the great examples of faith. Our Past does not have to define our future.

It's never good for dissension to create conflict, but even conflict can produce positive results. Tonight's message reminds us of one of the benefits that come from dissension between two parties.

When we enter the house of God, we need to be reminded of how serious of an occasion it is. We also need to be reminded how important our words are. This message reminds us that we are responsible for what we say and what we commit to. Certainly a challenge for all believers.
