The believers in the book of Hebrews had been impacted by the faith of others; yet, their impact seems to have been forgotten by some. As a result, they were told to remember the actions of others and to imitate them. Today, we tend to forget who has impacted our lives. As a result, we need to remember them and imitate their faith.

Though society would like to assume they can change or twist the word of God, it is clear, in scripture, that God does not change. The truths contained in Malachi are powerful and worthy of consideration.

In Deuteronomy, God had some amazing words in relation to anyone who would try to take them away from their service to God. He said to kill them. While times are different, there is still a need to eliminate, in our lives, anything or anyone that would threaten our walk with the Lord.

Paul speaks of a wonderful transformation that will take place as a result of the resurrection of the saints. This is something to look forward to and be encouraged by.

If God is our creator, then what does that mean? This morning's message reminds that if God created us, then we belong to him and that has serious implications for our lives.

The title of this sermon is more of a question than it is a statement. At some point, we need to answer this question: "If God is all I have, am I satisfied?". Our instincts want to declare that we are, but often times, reality reveals we are not. We need to consider what we have in our personal relationship with God.

Strange words from the Apostle Paul, but very needed words. Tonight's message reminds us that there may be areas in our spiritual lives where we need to sober up.

Who we allow to get close to us and be are friends is important. Paul's words to the believers in Corinth remind us that bad influences corrupt good people and good people seldom, if ever, really influence bad people. It is important to be honest about the character/nature of those we call friends.

In teaching his disciples, Christ reminded them that they each had a limited opportunity in which they could work for the Lord. Once that door was closed, there would be no going back. Since then, nothing has changed. Each of us have a limited time in which we can work for the Lord; after that, there is no going back. We need to consider whether or not we are taking advantage of our opportunity.

If a marriage is to be honorable, then we must honor it in our actions. Tonight's passage reminds us of some of the elements that can pollute and defile what is holy and pure in the sight of God.

We "know" this, but we can lose sight of it. Paul reminds believers that because of "this", we can be sure of "this". It's a blessing.

Even when life is hard, God is still God. So...what does this mean for his children? Today's message answers a portion of this question. It's an encouraging truth.

When life is good, it can be hard to remember that others are afflicted and oppressed. This evening's passage not only reminded believers in the past to pray for those who were afflicted, but it reminds us of our need to pray for others, as well, because many are still oppressed because of their faith.

There are times we are excited about something, but it becomes obvious we did not think everything through. The same thing happens in our spiritual lives. Listen to tonight's message and see if you've ever failed to think something all the way through in your spiritual life. It happens, frequently.

I have one responsibility in life (though there are two aspects of it). As simple as this truth is, it is amazing how often it gets missed and overlooked. We need this reminder on a regular basis.

Christians are called to be hospitable; even to strangers. Tonight's message reminds of the excuses we often use to justify failing in this area, but also reminds us that none of these excuses are valid.

Because of positions believers in Corinth came to, Paul felt the liberty to challenge their logic. Today, people still reserve the right to question another persons logic; ours included. Tonight's message reminds us that we must be able to give an answer for the positions we take.

Just because we grow older, it does not mean we have to become irrelevant to the world around us. We can continue to learn and continue to contribute to the lives of others. It's a challenge every person should give attention to.

Even in the family of God, it can be difficult to "like" people. Because of this, the writer of Hebrews reminded us of our need to like each other and be kind.

Just because we believe something does not mean it has changed our manner of life. This evening's message reminds us that just because people "believe" certain things about God does not mean it has changed their lives. When this happens, it cast doubt on that persons spiritual life.

Without the resurrection of Christ, all religious activity would be a waste of time. However, because of the resurrection of Christ, everything we do for Christ has a purpose and none of our effort is in vain. There is great encouragement in this message by Bro. Dave McCracken

The Corinthians had their ignorance revealed because of their arrogance. The same thing continues to be seen in believers lives today and can often be found in our lives, as well. There's a challenge to consider when we give attention to the testimony of the believers of Corinth.

When a person remembers their creator, it will change the way their days are lived. As Solomon wrote his final words in this book, he encouraged all those in their youth to remember who created them and the obligation they have to the one who created them.

As a recipient of grace, a Christian should be a distributor of grace. While that is so, any honest believer would have to admit that it can be hard to show grace, at times. Tonight's message reminds us of how important it is to life a life of grace.

In this ever changing world, there is a need to know what church should look like, if it is to be a biblical church. Tonight's passage further explains what church should look like, even though it is no longer "the norm".
