Of all the things God is, He is omnipotent. What does this mean? In the book of Jeremiah, we get to see exactly what this means, and it is a great blessing to the child of God.

Whenever something is valuable, there will often be a counterfeit. Such is the case with blessings from the Lord. Tonight's message reminds us of what a genuine blessing looks likes and how we can avoid falling for a counterfeit.

Guilt has a way of making people think God has written them off and no longer cares for them. This mornings message reminds us that regardless of our sin, God continues to be aware of our existence, he cares for us, and he hears us if we will humble ourselves and cry out to him.

Missionary James Scott reminded us tonight of the role that the local church plays in the realm of worldwide missions. An excellent truth we can all be challenged by.

The account of God, in scripture, makes it clear that God is above us. While that truth is abundantly clear, like Peter, we sometimes fail to remember this as we should. This morning's message reminds us of who God is and what our attitude should be as we approach him.

The book of Hebrews closes with an important admonition for believers. It's an admonition that's still needed today. Listen and consider.

Easy to forget the reason for the season.

Sometimes, the hardest thing to do is step back and let someone suffer the consequences of their actions. However, that is exactly what needs to happen, at times. Paul's closing remarks reminds us of this needed actions.

It's no fun to think about, but in order to get a genuine picture of who God is, we must admit that He is a disciplinarian when people disobey His word. This morning's message gives multiple examples and serves as a serious reminder to you and I that God disciplines sin.

There are some things, in life, that you do not want to be. Being like these people is one of them. Consider Paul's words to the believers in Corinth.

It's good to know that in the midst of anxiety, pain, distress, God is our comforter. Today's message reminds us that this is not just true for a handful of God's children; it is true for all of his children.

When we ask someone to pray on our behalf, it is serious. Because of this, we should make sure that our request is valid. Tonight's message gives insight on how we can know our request if valid and worthy of asking others to pray.

For all of us, there are times we "don't wanna" do certain things. The same is true when it comes to our spiritual lives. This evening's message reminds us of things we need to do, but often struggle to do; because we just "don't wanna" do it.

In considering the character of God, it it interesting to note that with almost every declaration of God's holiness, there is a challenge given to God's people that they also be holy. So...what does this mean for God; and what does it mean for us? This morning's message answers both of those questions.

Sometimes, we fail to see a connection between our actions and the consequences they produce. Tonight's passage reminds us of what happens when a person rejects spiritual authority in their lives. It's a message worth hearing and being reminded of.

In the Christian life, we should expect opposition...provided we are striving to live in obedience to God's will for our lives. While we know this, we often act surprised and bothered when the opposition comes. Tonight's message reminds us that opposition is a part of the equation when you choose to serve the Lord.

When we think about what we deserve in comparison to what we receive, it is easy to be reminded of how merciful God is. This morning's message reminds us of the incredible mercy God displays on a daily basis in each of our lives. It's something we need to be mindful of.

If one were to ask what is required to "please God", the answer would be relatively simple. However, the practical side of the answer is a little more involved and tonight's message reminds us of a few things that need to be true in our lives if we are going to please God.

We tend to think poorly of jealousy, but God declared that he was jealous of His relationship with His people. As an eternal God, we must realize that nothing has changed in His feelings toward His relationships with His people. God is still jealous and we must be mindful of this truth.

When we consider all Christ did so we might be saved, it's appropriate for us to be asked to bear some reproach by identifying with Him. While it is appropriate, it's not uncommon for us to shy away from this. Tonight's message gives insight as to why we struggle with this and what our response should be.

Financial giving is an essential aspect of church life. Though it can be a "touchy" subject in the minds of some, it really is a simple subject to approach when you deal with it from a biblical perspective. Consider what Paul had to say to the believers in Corinth as it related to financial contributions.

In every life, messes are made. It is the result of our sin nature. In spite of this, scripture records, repeatedly, that God is willing to restore any relationship that has been wrecked by sin. What a wonderful truth to be reminded of.

It sounds odd to declare that there are doctrines that serve no value, and yet that is exactly what the writer of Hebrews declared in tonight's passage. Listen and see what adds no value to the Christian life.

Over the years of our lives, there will be times we question why we are doing what we are doing. The same is true in our spiritual lives. In tonight's message, Paul reminds all believers why we do what we do.
