We learn here how Paul blessed the Thessalonians for their faithfulness and their concern for each other. He also requested their prayers for him as he would against much opposition go on to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He also then as we should today beware of the people we allow into our lives; people that make it obvious that they don’t reverence and acknowledge God.

When we remain faithful in prayer and demonstration of the gospel of Jesus Christ we please God and his favor will envelope us.

The apostle cautions the Philippians against judaizing false teachers, and renounces his own former privileges. Using the wisdom demonstrated by Paul we today should be cautious when others try to get us to turn away from the truth God has allowed us to understand when they won’t repent and let God save them.

The apostle Paul is writing to the church at Ephesus and particularly to the Gentiles. He was reminding them that even though they were alienated from God because of idolatry God still saved them.
