God’s Word And Daily Prayer For Today

Approximately 7 centuries before the birth of the church of Jesus Christ and the introduction of the dispensation of Truth and Grace God sent His prophet to inspire His people with the promise that help was on the way.

God created everything that is made and everything that is made is good. God owns time and everything in it. God has given a man to understand good and bad. He has provided us with wisdom to choose that which is right and good. In the end how we have chosen to live our lives, in respect or in disrespect to God, so shall our ends be; Heaven or the Lake of fire.

The answers for life and direction for Christian believers lie in the scriptures. If we seek through the scriptures the answers we need to move forward I God respecting way we will not falter. We will go through our trials, tribulations, and adversities and come out of them in a blessed place or status.

The Psalmist in this passage of scripture is assuring all those that walk upright and honestly before God, in compliance to His plan of salvation, He will always be there to heal, deliver, prosper, and save from all our enemies. There is strong admonition here to always walk upright.

In this 1st chapter of the book of Job we learn that he had an outstanding relationship with God. Then God allowed Job to lose all of everything that made him and then all his children. But pay attention to the wisdom he demonstrated. He humbled himself before God and as the whole story let’s us know he decided, “though He slay me yet will I trust him.”

In this story Let’s see how God places people- Esther - well in advance so when time for deliverance comes it can’t be stopped?

Here again we learn and /or are reminded, with God on your side He is more than the whole world against you. God has and always will, fight for the righteous.

The word from the Lord here is that the leaders of the people and the spiritual leaders are chief in committing the sins that God had specifically spoken to them stay away from. As it was then it is even so today.

Empahasis on Holiness, Sanctification, Separateness, Righteousness, and Humility.

Selfishness, it is one of the things in our lives that slow us down. But if we concern ourselves with helping others, it appears from the wisdom extracted here that doors of opportunity to help others as well have been placed in front of us. As we help others we bless ourselves. Solomon asked God for wisdom to be a blessing to God’s people.

Here we see David in the preamble to his death. He inaugurated Solomon, his son, to succeed him as king. However, David got all the people together to do his own eulogy. He told the people how gave all the glory and honor to God for his successes.

Here we learn that when life appears to be too much to bear and there is no hope of deliverance our God can turn things in our favor and prosper us. Wisdom here teaches us to never give up on God; no matter what the circumstances. Have faith in God and never let it waver; for our God who has chosen us promised that he would be with us always; even when we don’t recognize it.

we discover wisdom from this passage of scripture that helps us to know that when we inquire of God for things that we desire we should not be selfish in our request, but what we make request for is beneficial to others as well. Because the scripture teaches we will reap what we sow.

The story of Naomi being blessed with the birth of Obed by her daughter-in-law, Ruth.

This story epitomizes how God won’t leave you, if you won’t leave him. After taking away any hope of male covering, as the custom was at that time, God let Naomi live to see that she was not abandoned by Him; by giving her a male child (Obed)from her daughter-in-law Ruth, a Moabite, chosen by God, continuing the lineage through which our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ was given for humanity.

This prophecy seems to be so contemporary. Take a look at the current events in the world today.

This is another example of the agape’ love of our God. Joshua here reminds the people of God as he is in his last days to not allow themselves to be entangled with people that will turn them away from the doctrine of God. He is admonishing them to hold fast to God and the plan of God; for this is where our wisdom and understanding comes from.

Moses was instructed by God to teach the people what God Himself wanted them to know and do, that if doing so blessings would overtake them as they went. These same principles are applicable to us today. If we will do as the Word of God teaches us and teach our children so, then God will provide all our needs according to His riches in glory.

This is a very good example of having faith in what God promises. Let us learn to not let people around us or circumstances cause us to doubt God. Have great faith in God and in those that God has proven that He has put in your life as leaders. Especially when they are teaching and leading you with the holy scriptures.

Here we find instructions from God as to how desires for us to live among ourselves as his chosen people. And let’s remember that God has not asked anything of us, his people, that he has not provided the means to make it happen.

This is a covenant from God promising to bless and protect His people that practice His instructions from the Spiritual leaders that He places in their lives. When there is demonstration of compliance God promises to take a stand against the enemy of the obedient.

Here we find the promise of God to Abraham 25 years earlier, that he would be the father of many nations came to pass. Abraham’s first son Ishmael, with the bond woman Hagar was sent away, because now the son of promise to Abraham and Sarah was born. In this son, Isaac was the promise of, “Thy seed shall be called” had come to fruition.
