Be encouraged as we look at Philippians 3:1-3 to look to Jesus. Let's remember and rejoice that it is by faith in Christ alone that we are saved.  

Pastor Darrell has us look at Philippians 2:16-30 for Christ's gift to His Church, other-focused servant leaders. Are you a servant leader? Do you show appreciation to those who have served you? Let us worship the Lord Jesus who came to serve us.

Our guest preacher, Jason Moore, reminds us that there is hope in the midst of hopelessness as we look at Lamentations 3.

Our guest preacher, Tim LeCroy, reminds us of the power of the gospel of grace through the preaching of Galatians 1.

As we look at Philippians 2:14-18, we can be encouraged to live out of our new identity in Christ. We can choose to live as lights that shine in the world by rejoicing, being glad in our Savior, and proclaiming His excellencies instead of grumbling and questioning. 

Our working out is a response to God's working in. Be encouraged as we look at Philippians 2:12-13 to consider that since Christ obeyed His Father, so also, all those in Christ are called to live out of their identity in Christ and obey as well. Be reminded of what is true in this passage (God works in you) and what we are called to in this passage (work out our salvation).

As ones who have been served by our humble Lord and Savior, we are called to humbly serve others. We will be encouraged as we look at Philippians 1:27 and 2:1-11 to look to Jesus as our model for humility. 

How, why, and for what purpose was Jesus Christ exalted? Thinking deeply about these things through the lens of Philippians 2:6-11 will encourage us in our worship of, adoration of, and allegiance to our Lord and Savior. 

Pastor Darrell preached today on Philippians 2:6-8. Be encouraged, as you consider Jesus' humility, to worship our humble Lord and Savior.

As citizens of the kingdom of God, what are our responsibilities? What does it look like to be a citizen of heaven? Pastor Darrell encourages us to explore these questions and the answers to them as we look at Philippians 1:27-30. 

Does the statement that God is our refuge seem hard to grasp? How is it that He can be our refuge? Do you know the fullness of joy from being in His presence? We can be encouraged through Psalm 16 to recognize our utter dependence and need for Jesus, to cry out to Him, and fix our eyes on Him and His truths. In doing so, we find that He is our refuge, our greatest treasure, and joy. 

How are we to live if God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble? Consider this week some of the foundation stones of our faith and how these truths lead us to find our refuge and strength in Christ. 

"To live is Christ and to die is gain." When Paul wrote these words in His letter to the Philippians, he was living the sake of the gospel and others. His hope in this letter was that fellow believers would do the same. Be encouraged as we look at Philippians 1:18-26 to live out the call to show forth the glory of Christ consistently. 

As we continue in our study through Philippians, we see that difficult events serve to advance the gospel. Paul was imprisoned and trusted in God's goodness in allowing that so that the gospel could be preached. Be encouraged through this portion of God's Word in Philippians 1:12-18 that God stands above all things and can redeem those things for His purposes and for those who love Him. 

What are your heart, mind, strength, and prayers set upon? In Philippians 1:1-11 we see that there are priorities of the gospel and we would do well to set ourselves upon them. Be encouraged this week to set your priorities on the gospel truths in this first chapter of Philippians.

As we finish the book of Joel, we see that one day the Lord will hold all people accountable for their lives. There will be no condemnation for those who have refuge in Christ. This refuge is a free gift. Let's give our allegiance to the Lord who judges and saves. Be encouraged today to serve Him and bow to Him only.

Our guest preacher today was Andreas van Wijngaarden, a missionary preparing to serve in Cambridge, England. He gave us a call to be careful to remember the Lord, His love, and His care as he shares from Joshua 23:1-13. Be encouraged today to stay on this path of remembering and loving the Lord with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength. 

In Joel 2:28-32, we see that God promises His Spirit to all His people. Let's consider the following questions this week: Do I value this gift that's been given or do I take it for granted? Am I quenching or grieving the Spirit in any way?  Do I live by the Spirit?  Be encouraged as you consider this amazing gift we've been given! 

As we look at Joel 2:18-27, we see that we have a loving God who delivers, redeems, and restores. This is why Jesus came! He does this so we will know that He is in our midst and He is our God. How should we respond? Be encouraged to praise Him, to not live in fear, and to ask, "Where does the Lord need to restore my life?"

As we look at Joel 2:1-17, we see that Joel speaks of a coming day of judgment, but also of the Lord's deliverance and protection for His people. Be encouraged today toward repentance and faithfulness to our gracious God who is slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness. 

Today, we continue on in the book of Joel chapter one where we begin to see that there was a famine of joy and gladness in the hearts of God's people. What is the remedy for a heart that has turned cold to the Lord? As we see in Joel, the Lord calls us to repent. We can also ask the Lord to restore the joy of salvation to us, and create in us a broken and contrite heart. Be encouraged in knowing t...

In this two-part message, Pastor Darrell introduces the book of Joel. Joel brings God's words of judgment and grace into the midst of great devastation. God is calling His people to live well before the Lord in their day...and us in ours. Be encouraged to awaken, lament, and tell others of God's graciousness. 

We see in Revelation 21-22 that the final destination on the Road to Glory is the new heavens and new earth. Let's fix our minds on that future hope so that we may always remember that walking faithfully with Jesus for a lifetime is worth the cost.

In this final message on Jesus's "Road to Glory," we see that it passes through Calvary, the resurrection, and the empty tomb. In this Easter message, we are encouraged in that Christ, the promised Savior, has fulfilled the prophecies recorded in the Old Testament.
