Ger Can Get It

Comedy EN ↓ 63 episodes

After meeting our favorite actor in September of 2023 and COMPLETELY LOSING OUR MINDS (please send them our way if you find them), we (Meg and Rachel) set out to watch everything Geraint Wyn Davies (Nick in Forever Knight, king of the Stratford Theater Festival, and star of much, much, more) has ever been in— at least everything we can find. This isn’t a podcast; it’s an inoculation (so don’t be a narc— please don’t tell him we’re doing this).

Episodes

RoboCop the Series (1994)- Season 1, Ep 8 "Provision 22"-- Martin 05.07.2026

This week: an older, better Robocop. Come for the inexplicable sexual tension between Ger's character, Martin, and his older-but-still-attractive co-worker, Lewis (har har); stay for the total lack of attempts to hide that this was filmed in Toronto with a predominantly Forever Knight-based cast. There's also a plucky 12 year old girl named Gadget! And a pompadour! #tvmagic GCGI now has an Instagr...

Tropical Heat (1991)- Season 1, Ep 8-- "For a Song"- Frank Halstead 21.06.2026

Ger's character visits Florida to try to buy the rights to a song from a hapless British bartender and his hot ex-girlfriend. A man with a ponytail foils his evil deeds. This will become a theme in his career. Fun visual of the episode: he origamis himself a towel and makes out with extras for non-plot-related reasons. Pure gold, A+, would recommend. Catch Tropical Heat and the related documentary...

I Know What I Saw/Post-Mortem (2007)-- Det. Morgan 07.06.2026

This week, Ger is foiled by another 20-something psychic woman who sees ghosts and/or visions. It happens. #NewGeracteristicUnlocked? There's more from the Strange and Beautiful Network! Listen to Rachel, Kate, and Hannah discuss spicy bo...

1-800-MISSING (2003)- Season 1, Ep 12-- "Victoria"- Dr. Sims 25.05.2026

This week, we set the psychiatric profession back a few millennia with Ger's electroshock-loving doctor whose worst crime appears to be in operating a free-range mental health facility. PS Remember that the charity raffle and tshirt sale is still on (links are on Instagram). GCGI now has an Instagram page— never miss a sweaty update (and get sneak previews of future episodes) at: http://www.instag...

Hamlet (2016)—Claudius 10.05.2026

This week, we re-evaluate Hamlet . Specifically, we re-evaluate who the protagonist of the play is/should be. It’s Ger. It should be Ger. As Rachel says, Shakespeare Daddy™️ came home this week, for which we are all incredibly thankful. Next episode: back to garbage! PS Remember that the raffle/5K/tshirt sale to support the MS Society of Canada is on until June 30, 2026. Get those donations in, wi...

For the Record (1979)- Season 4, Ep 1-- "Cementhead" - Joey 26.04.2026

This week: come for the homoerotic hockey adventures with a young Martin Short, stay for the ten-year-old boy who has unexplained ducks in his pants. I'm not giving you anything else. That's it. That's the show (Ger actually does show up in this episode, for about 4 minutes, in case you were worried we pulled another RoboCop fiasco). AS ALWAYS: we're still running the charity virtual 5k and raffle...

Robocop: Prime Directives (Part Two)(2001): The Part Ger is Actually In 12.04.2026

This week: we finally finish off Robocop: Prime Directives, and it was honestly a lot more fun once Ger's evil, leather-clad, computer scientist/father of a cyborg tween comes onto the scene. Plus: please donate to our MS Society Fundraiser/Virtual 5K! Tshirts are here (wings) and here (no wings); if you just want to donate and/or be entered to win one of our fabulous raffle prizes, please donate...

RoboCop: Prime Directives (Part One) (2001) [OOPS, NO GERS!] 14.03.2026

This week, we cover the first half of the Robocop: Prime Directives tv mini-series of movie-length episodes from 2001. Despite what IMDB will tell you, Ger is only in the last two episodes, so we watched 3 hours of tv for NOTHING. Oops. Anyways, there's still some familiar faces from Forever Knight, and all the magical lady ninjas and half-robot cop action you could ask for. PLUS, we announce our...

Sidestreet (1977)- Season 3, Ep 7- "Once a Hero" - Gary Simpson 02.03.2026

This week: like Heated Rivalry mixed with Law and Order. No crimes are solved and nobody makes out in the locker room, but we do get existential despair and Ger punching himself in the face with a doorknob, so it's not a total loss. Also, since recording this, we found out that, much like how Ger was not actually an amazing male ballet dancer in Diamonds , he's also not an amazing hockey player/sk...

Eragon, the Video Game (2006)-- Brom 08.02.2026

Hold down the B button, young adventurer! This week, we cover one of Ger's rare (only?) voiceover jobs with Eragon, where he plays the plucky hero's wise mentor. We also talk a lot about The Lord of the Rings, The Legend of Zelda, and the ways the Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers messed us up. Another completely normal, totally-hinged episode. PS If you want to watch the cut-scenes, they are here . G...

Pavane (2008) AND In Their Shoes-- "The Loyalists" (1977) 25.01.2026

Prepare for our most unhinged episode thus far, in which we discuss the 2008 short film Pavane, in which Ger plays a man who was maybe-definitely sexually assaulted as a pre-teen and now must wear Estelle Getty's glasses, and the 1977 episode "The Loyalists" from what I can only assume was a CBC Canadian history show called In Their Shoes, in which Ger plays a damned dirty American rebel right aft...

The Breed (2001)-- SBBC Crossover Christmas Special 25.12.2025

This week, we have a surprise Christmas special to tide you over until we start again with Ger-content in the new year. In honor of our love of vampire movies and....tolerance of Adrian Paul, we present Adrian Paul's 2001 movie, The Breed. There's no way to prepare you for any of this. GCGI now has an Instagram page— never miss a sweaty update (and get sneak previews of future episodes) at: http:/...

The Tempest (2010)-- Stephano 08.12.2025

This week: high-brow poop jokes and the hope for better performances to come aka meta advertising for Tempest (2026). Tracker (2001)-- Zin (Part Two) 23.11.2025

The thrilling conclusion to this early 'oughts series about naked aliens and evil real estate schemes! Did any of our predictions come true? Does Adrian Paul ever get dressed? Does Zin successfully start a cult with a teen Jesus lady alien who is also secretly Daggon's prison girlfriend? Tune in this week to find out! GCGI now has an Instagram page— never miss a sweaty update (and get sneak previe...

Tracker (2001)-- Zin (PART ONE) 09.11.2025

UPDATE: Audio issues fixed! This week, we have the first part of our two-part discussion of Canadian science fiction tv show, Tracker! This show stars Adrian Paul's underwear bulge and, to a much, much lesser extent, the rest of Adrian Paul. Come for the eternal battle between an evil space alien scientist and the Chicago Department of Planning and Development (definitely not located in Toronto, h...

WAAK Repost - Babylon 5 (S1 E21) - "Quality of Mercy" 26.10.2025

Meg and Rachel are taking a break this week so here's a peak at We Are All Kosh, our Babylon 5 podcast. And what better episode than the magic prehensile dick episode? GCGI now has an Instagram page— never miss a sweaty update (and get sneak previews of future episodes) at: http://www.instagram.com/gercangetit (or click here ). There's more from the Strange and Beautiful Network! Listen to Rachel,...

The Conspiracy of Fear (1995)-- Timothy Straker 05.10.2025

This is the funniest thriller we have ever seen. We didn't understand one single moment of it, including the use of slow-motion birds, the gallon-sized freezer bag of cocaine, the criminal underuse of a man named Yo, or how Ger managed to beat the shit out of Andrew Lowery while driving a murder van and never once looking at the road. Multiple people fall out of multiple windows, and Ger appears t...

Dudley the Dragon (1994)-- "Have Yourself a Crabby Little Christmas" AND The Edison Twins (1985)- Season 3, Eps 11-13 21.09.2025

EDIT: Oops, I'm still bad at my job. Slight audio issues fixed. Please re-download me to hear the fixed version. KThx. NOTE: I thought the Edison Twins episodes were 3x37-39, but it turns out that they are episodes 37-39 of the ENTIRE SERIES and just episodes 11-13 of season 3. Oops. This week: freaky puppets (Again?! Still!?), childhood trauma, and the triumphant music career of hometown girl, De...

Antony and Cleopatra (2015)-- Mark Antony 07.09.2025

WE HATH RETURNED, AND SO DIDST DAT ASS. This week: truly, the purest Ger role that we have seen thus far. It is a three-hour Shakespeare play, in the dark, where Ger plays a character with his 'dumb' and 'horny' meters turned all the way up. We did not understand one single word. Magic. GCGI now has an Instagram page— never miss a sweaty update (and get sneak previews of future episodes) at: http:...

The Campbells (1988) - Season 3, Ep 10 - "The Reluctant Candidate" - Dan Bright 15.06.2025

This week: wholesome moral old-timey fun with transparently corrupt politicians. Neat. Also, Rachel discovers the secret index guiding all of GWD's career choices. Also also, ANOTHER HIATUS IS ANNOUNCED. I KNOW. GCGI now has an Instagram page— never miss a sweaty update (and get sneak previews of future episodes) at: http://www.instagram.com/gercangetit (or click here ). There's more from the Stra...

24 (2006)- Season 5- James Nathanson 01.06.2025

WE'RE FINALLY BACK! We watched twenty-four hours of not-very-good tv with some actually-very-good actors. Pretend the yakety sax song is playing, and come white knuckle this with us. GCGI now has an Instagram page— never miss a sweaty update (and get sneak previews of future episodes) at: http://www.instagram.com/gercangetit (or click here ). There's more from the Strange and Beautiful Network! Li...

Trudeau (2002)-- The Honourable William G. ("Bill") Davis, PC, CC, OOnt, QC 10.03.2025

An episode where Meg shouts about her own total lack of a Canadian history education, and Rachel gamely listens and wonders if Justin Trudeau's father might actually be Fidel Castro. Results of discussion: INCONCLUSIVE. Oh yeah. Ger shows up in the miniseries at about the third hour mark to speed-run some Geracheristics. You won't learn anything from this movie or from this podcast, but if either...

The Wild Dogs (2002)-- Colin 20.02.2025

Puppies, child pornographers, and the disabled meet in this disjointed movie set in Bucharest. We're definitely on some kind of watchlist now, folks. #legallyafilm #morallyacrime GCGI now has an Instagram page— never miss a sweaty update (and get sneak previews of future episodes) at: http://www.instagram.com/gercangetit (or click here ). There's more from the Strange and Beautiful Network! Listen...

Terror Stalks the Class Reunion (1992)-- "Fat" Tony Ortona 09.02.2025

This week: Ger molests some mannequins and blows up a house. What else is there to say? GCGI now has an Instagram page— never miss a sweaty update (and get sneak previews of future episodes) at: http://www.instagram.com/gercangetit (or click here ). There's more from the Strange and Beautiful Network! Listen to Rachel, Kate, and Hannah discuss spicy books, serious books, and everything in between...

The Judge (1982)- Season 1 (?), various episodes- Allan Pearson 26.01.2025

This week: the conclusion of our three-part series of shows Ger popped up in that have now disappeared from the world. We watched three episodes of The Judge (1982-1985), literally a show about a male judge in the early 1980s so the sexism is laid on EXACTLY as thick as you'd imagine, although it's honestly a better representation of what goes on in and around a courtroom than anything we have on...
