On the final voyage to their new home there are ethical matters to consider. This journey marks the beginning of another, and Phil and Paula can only speculate as to what they will find, and how life will be at the journeys’ end.

All is as ready now as it can be, and Phil and Paula spend their last weeks in England, and make final preparations for their departure to their new lives.

Phil and Paula prepare to leave for England for the last time, and they leave with some misgivings, having learned not to trust their Indonesian partner, and that not all snakes live in the forest.

Since suitable furniture is a scarcity in their part of Indonesia, Phil and Paula must have it made, and find that is this regard they perhaps have all that they need, and closer to home than they would have anticipated.

It’s time for Phil and Paula to buy white goods, and to decide who in their immediate circle of Indonesian friends and acquaintances they can trust, and who they cannot.

Phil and Paula’s domestic circumstances in England are changing more quickly than they had anticipated, and this prompts them to at last set a date for their final move to Sulawesi.

Phil and Paula decide that if a church stands in the way of their plans, the best thing to do is to move the church, and Paula gives consideration to the more personal aspects of their soon to begin adventure.

The lodge is built, a boat trip very nearly goes badly wrong for Phil, and Paula turns her mind to the somewhat troublesome matter of furniture.
