Luke 7:18-29: John the Baptist has honest doubt.  The very one who proclaimed Jesus as the “Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world” now wonders if Jesus really is the great rescuer, the Messiah.  Perhaps suffering in our own lives – like John in Herod’s dungeon – brings our doubt to the surface.

Pastor Mulenga Chella, joining us from a partner church in Zambia, shares his remarkable testimony of forgiveness, grace, and the calling of God.

Galatians 3 answers the question, “If the law does not save us, why did God give them to Moses?” The lesson explores the role of the law in leading us to Christ.”

John 1:35-51: Our mission, like John the Baptist’s, is to point people to Jesus.  In our story, both Andrew and Philip also lead people to Jesus. Who will you bring to Jesus?

John 13:1–17, 31–35: Jesus and Paul make love the defining characteristic of his people, shown in self-giving and forgiveness.

Galatians 3 addresses Paul’s surprise that the churches in the region had abandoned the gospel of the apostles for a so-called gospel that included Jewish traditions and observances. Philippians 1:27-30: Having founded the church at Philippi, Paul writes a letter to his favorite congregation. In the midst of his message, he implores them, above all else, to live a life worthy of the gospel. 1 Cor. 12:12-27: God has deliberately formed the church so that none of us possesses everything we need by ourselves. We’re taught to care, serve, and share gifts.

Isaiah 44:6-8: Our God is the only true God. Since time began, humans have tried to make God in their own image. The Prophet Isaiah calls upon the people of God to acknowledge Yahweh as the one and only true God. As followers of Jesus, we must allow God to create us in His image. A true and living God can never be formed with human hands or human ideas.

Psalm 23: In the last of our series, we hear David describe the care of God using the image right in front of him - Yahweh ro'i - “The Lord - my shepherd."

Dr. Batson reflects on the importance of proclaiming the gospel, even without words, as we prepare to partake of the Lord's Supper.

Proverbs 2:1-11

Isaiah 52:7–10: God announces peace to his people and the promise of his presence—to those who are near and to those far away.
