John the Baptist's encounter with Jesus in Matthew 3 tells us a lot about who Jesus is. In His baptism, Jesus is crowned the Messiah. 

The arrival of the Messiah, as unlikely as it was, proved the promises of God are true. And if God can keep His promise about Messiah, He can keep His promises to you. 

Roy and his family have been coming to Fern Creek since 2020, and he's gotten invovled in a couple different groups. His story has impacted our Men's Ministry and even other churches around Kentucky. We sat down and got a chance to learn more about him. This is Meet Roy Vandiver.

The genealogy of Jesus reminds us how God can use broken people for His glory and His plan. We are all links in the chain of faith, and God can bring a fresh start to your story.

As we look back on 2022, there's a lot to thank God for. And as we look ahead to 2023, we know that God is calling us deeper. There's a place at Fern Creek with your name on it.

Christmas finds us even in our mess. May you recognize that God is with you today and every day. 

No one ever includes the red dragon from Revelation 12 in their Christmas nativities, but there was an enemy there that first Christmas night, and Jesus came to defeat him. 

All the songs tell us to feel comfort and joy, but what if we don't? Today, we look at the left out member of the nativity story – the weeping mother. There is room for your grief this Christmas season.

Christmas can become everything but a season to celebrate the born Messiah. Shopping for gifts and racing to complete the holiday to-do list can prevent us from experiencing joy and peace in this season. Let's devote our hearts and minds to Jesus instead. 

This morning, we look at the prophet Elijah's advice in 1 Kings to not be afraid of how or when the Lord will provide. When we seek Him first and give Him 10% of our wealth, God blesses that. He can more on 90% than we can do on 100%. Let's discuss the tithe.

Craig reminds to be wise in our financial decisions. This sermon walks through some practical tactics in being careful with your money. 

Our Discipleship Minister, Rich Teske, reminds us this morning that everything we are and everything we have belongs to God. Life itself is a gift from above. Living with that attitude changes how we manage our finances. 

This morning, on the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church, Craig walks us through what is happening in the lives of Christians around our world and even in our own country. 

Our Outreach Minister, Josh Cooper, walks us through Mark 14 and the anointing of Jesus. The story begs us to ask, "What have I sacrificed for my King Jesus?" 

Lazarus wasn't just dead, he was stinky dead. But Jesus is God in human flesh. There's nothing he can't do. Even when it seems God is late to answer our prayers, He's still on time. 

While Martha busies and distracts herself with the preparations for Jesus, Mary clears her to-do list and sits at the feet of Jesus to listen to Him. We learn from them to be bold and be real. And Jesus teaches something powerful about their identity and acceptance. 

The Bible contains good news. It stores the very words of God breathed into the pen of man. But how do we know its accurate? Do things get lost in translation? Can I trust what it says? Let's talk!

When you look within, there is no accident. You've been uniquely made by God, and the evidence is undoubtable.

Poor science teaches evolution, but good science leads us to the truth of Scripture – that God mades humans in His image for a greater purpose than that of animals. We are the crown jewel of His creation. We didn't come from a lower life form, but instead we are the handiwork of God. 

By looking at creation, we can see evidence of God. The Psalmist write the heavens declare the glory of God! We can see with our own eyes that there has to be a first cause of creation, there is an intelligent designer of it, and there's a moral code all humanity possesses in their hearts. Let's discuss!

At Fern Creek, we believe in absolute truth that is discovered in God's Word. We consider the Bible the foundation of all truth and call out the falsehood of relative truth. In a world that is getting further and further from Jesus, we need to embrace the truth of God even when we don't like it.

Nehemiah was a man with a big dream, but he lived for the glory of God and not for his own safety and comfort. Through adversity and hardship, Nehemiah exemplifies faith over fear, and his life reminds us that no matter what, loving God and loving people is the number one priority for His followers. 

Barnabas changed the trajectory of Christianity by the way he encouraged those around him. How can you impact someone's life by breathing courage into them?

Esther is the only book of the Bible where God isn't mentioned by name, but you can His fingerprints through it all. More than a good story, Esther is an illustration that God can turn things around in our life if we stay faithful to Him. 

Moses' journey was...well...unexpected to say the least. From floating down a river to being raised in a non-Jewish home, Moses' life could have turned out very differently. But God designs all things to draw people close to Him and use them for incredible Kingdom work. God is faithful!
