FCCS Chapel

Joel preached a great message from Romans 8 and Philippians 4. This was our final senior chapel for the 25-26 school year.

Mr. Shaw talks to our middle and high schoolers about the book of Revelation. The main points are all about how to read it alongside the rest of scripture, which is the key to understanding John's vision well.

Noah shared a message about fear, how it holds us back, and how we can fear the Lord.

Isaac shared a great message with the middle and high school about being slow to anger

Kade had a very important message about contentment and mental health for chapel this week.

Today in chapel we watched and reacted to part of another video and did some apologetics. The video is titled 10 Hard Questions Christians Should Ask (But Never Do) by a channel on YouTube called Open Reason, and we did not have time to make it through all of them in our chapel today; we will save the rest for future chapels.

Weston gave a great message about trusting in the Lord for self-control.

Mr. Cowhick and Mr. Shaw make their way through John, covering chapters 10-15 in this episode and they finish the book in the next one.

We had an all school chapel with pre-k through 12th grade present and Joe Holder from Vineyard Church came to speak to our students on the topic "What is a Christian?" and we also had a skit performed by our drama club on the same topic.

Jerod from Emmanuel Bible Church (and also a former Foothills teacher) came to speak to our students on the story of Saul's regeneration and how God chose to save him.

Nate Duvall from Victory Church came to share for chapel for the first time, and he picked up where we are in our Bible reading plan at Acts 4 and talked about Jesus as our cornerstone.

Mr. Shaw and Mr. Cowhick take way too long to record this one despite their best efforts to be more concise, but hey, whaddya gonna do. There's so much to talk about in the book of John

Katie Brooks from New City Church came to tell the kids all about the whole story of the Bible, in the context of why Jesus needed to be born. Merry Christmas!

Marcus Spear shared a message about trusting in God and he tells a funny but embarrassing story, hopefully he's ok with it being posted to the internet.

Matt shared a great message from Matthew 2 about the Magi and about how God uses our talents to show Himself to us.

Mr. Shaw and Mr. Cowhick are back talking about the Bible, this time it is the whole book of Luke and particularly the parts that are not in Matthew or Mark. Thanks for listening

Addison spoke about Advent and gave a really great reminder and encouragement to us all to focus on Jesus during this Christmas season.

Aidan preached to the middle and schoolers about doubts and uncertainty and he did a great job!
