Alex Kocman brings a sermon from God's Word on James 1:19-27 and the effects of God's Word in our lives. He discusses anger, which does not accomplish the righteousness of God, and how to obey God's Word.

Ricardo Vargas preaches God's Word from James 1:9-18.

Colossians 1:15-23 Let's grow deeper in our understanding of God in the new year. "At some point life will hand you something that will challenge the way you think. Are you going to keep doing what you want to do or are you going to hold fast?" Ricardo Vargas brings the Word of God.

Jeremiah 31:31-34. What is the New Covenant that comes?

How does God deal with our sin? God is a God who makes covenant with His people. God's answer to our sin is to enter into a covenantal relationship with His people. What is a covenant?

God is holy. How does a holy God deal with our sin?

We need to ask wisdom from God and not doubt.

Bible teaches us to count it all joy when we go through trials of various kinds. The Christian will go through trials but God is strengthening our faith and working to conform us to the image of Christ.

We focus on the key verses of God's character: Exodus 34:6-7 “The LORD, the LORD, a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness, keeping steadfast love for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, but who will by no means clear the guilty," God's steadfast love is His unrelenting love that He keeps in covenant faithfulness to His peopl...

In Exodus 33, we see the necessity of God's presence. We see His glory and majesty and what it means when He is with His people. The ultimate hope is to see God's presence and experience His glory.

When Moses is up on Mt. Sinai, Aaron and the people make a golden calf and worship it. This teaches us a number of things about idolatry. The only cure for sin is to have a mediator step forward and make atonement.

In order for us to know God, God has to come down and reveal Himself. At Mt. Sinai, God reveals Himself in His power and holiness. We can know God today only through Jesus Christ. God is still holy, magnificent, and all powerful.

After Israel crosses the Red Sea, she grumbles with God about bread and water. Then again, she puts God to the test as to whether or not He can provide water for them. We have to be careful not to grumble with God and put Him to the test.

God provides deliverance for the Israelites. He shows His glory over Pharaoh defeating them. Yet we still see the Israelites struggling with fear and learning to trust God.

The last of the 10 plagues is the death of the firstborn. However, to protect His people, God instituted the Passover sacrifice and feast. The blood of the Lamb covers the house and the Lord both judges sin and "passes over" those of faith as He shields them from His judgment. Jesus Christ is our Passover Lamb as the Father both judges sin and shields the sinner in the work of His Son.

In this sermon we examine the 10 plagues. Part of the purpose of the 10 plagues is that the Lord is showing us that there is no one like Him. God had raised up Pharaoh for the purpose of showing His glory over Pharaoh's rebellion. Pharaoh often tries to bargain with Moses over God's commands.

GUEST SPEAKER: JASON RUHL. Jason walks us through the main themes of the book of Micah and evaluates when people did not seek justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with God. Jason shows only God fulfills his word and then makes applications to our daily life.

We begin to examine the ten plagues. We see how the plagues show that God is supreme. He thwarts the power of the Pharaoh and the gods of the Pharaoh. Yet, the Pharaoh continues to harden his heart. This is a warning to us that we should not harden our hearts when we see the power of God in the gospel.

God reveals Himself as YHWH the one who will redeem His people according to His Covenant promises. In this Covenant God enters into union with his people with the statement: "They will be my people; I will be their God." This is one of the great promises of redemption.
