When confronted with the Word of God, Pharaoh asks "who is the LORD?" It is not a question out of ignorance but a question of insolence and a refusal to acknowledge the might and power of God. God shows Himself to be the great and mighty Lord who will redeem His people.

When God calls Moses, Moses comes up with excuses and doesn't want to go. God promises to be with him and empower him. God places various calls on us as believers in Jesus Christ and He also equips us for the tasks.

God reveals Himself as "I AM WHO I AM". What does this teach us about God's holiness and majesty? God is the awesome mighty one who is dependent on no one. In this passage, God also comes down because He hears the cries of His people.

In the birth of Moses, we see God's providence and protection of Moses. As a young man, Moses tries to save his people but fails miserably. At the end of Exodus 2, we find that God is a God who hears the cries of his people.

We begin our series on the book of Exodus. God has prospered the Israelites in Egypt but now a new Pharaoh is hostile to them. He commands the two midwives to kill all the Israelite male infants. The midwives choose to fear God more than the Pharaoh.

Paul concludes the book of Romans by exhorting the congregation to be on guard against those who would divided the church and lead it away from true doctrine. He ends by commending them to God in the gospel for their strengthening.

Paul sends his greetings to a number of friends and ministry partners that he knows in the church of Rome. He is grateful for how they have served the Lord and aided in the ministry of the gospel.

Paul describes his desire to go to Rome but first he must go to Jerusalem. In Jerusalem, he will deliver a gift that the churches have collected for the Jerusalem church. Paul also asks the church in Rome to pray for him. What are ways that we can help other churches and missionaries today/

Matt Fuhrman shares from 1 Peter 2:1-12. God is building the church to be a precious house and a royal priesthood. Jesus is the chief cornerstone over whom some have stumbled. The church is God's people who have received mercy from God.

Not all ambition is bad. In this passage, Paul has ambition to spread the gospel. He takes pride in his work in the Lord but gives all the credit to what Jesus Christ has done. In the same way, it is only God who accomplishes his work even when he uses us.

Paul gives us the instruction to welcome others just as Christ welcomed us for the glory of God. Paul unpacks how Christ came to serve the circumcised but the result was the fulfillment of the Old Testament that Gentiles are coming to worship and glorify God.

Paul entreats us to work to build up our neighbor and please them.

After warning Christians not to judge one another, Paul also warns believers not to us Christian freedom in such a way that causes the weaker in the faith to stumble.

Paul warns us about judging our brothers and sisters in Christ over trivial matters of personal conscience.

Jesus Christ has risen from the dead. What was prophesied in Scripture was fulfilled in Jesus and the disciples witnessed it. Jesus Christ is risen from the dead.

Paul describes the believer as those who are to love because in love we fulfill the Law. The return of the Lord is closer everyday and so we should live and walk in the light, like the day is dawning, and not walk in the darkness of sin with sin.

The Bible teaches that we should love our enemies and bless those who curse us. We are not to repay evil with evil but repay evil with good.

Paul gives a series of instruction for how a Christian lives and responds to other based on the transformation God has done in their lives.

Paul exhorts us not to think of ourselves more highly than we ought. We are to recognize that there is one body of Christ but different gifts to be used in the body.

Paul makes his appeal for godly living based on the mercies of God. We need the renewal of our minds so that we can exercise discernment.

Paul ends Romans 11 bursting into praise over the magnificence of the character of God. When we understand God's work in redemption and the sovereignty of His plan, we are driven to deeper worship.

Paul describes the salvation of "all Israel". While this passage is debated, it shows us that God still has a concern and love for the people of Israel. Their partial hardening to the gospel will come to an end. The hope of salvation is always found in the gospel. As we understand the plan and purpose of God, we are to be humble when we remember God's mercy to us.

Paul describes Gentiles as grafted in to the olive tree that are the covenant promises of God. Similarly, because of unbelief, Israel is cut off. This is not an occasion for pride, but a reminder that salvation is by grace through faith along.
