Disciples Church Springfield
Disciples Church Sermons
Disciples Church Springfield is an independent, evangelical church, keen to impact the greater Springfield area with the grace of the Gospel. Our Lead Pastor is Callum Mansfield. Our vision is that every member of the Church will know Jesus enough to follow Him, love God enough to obey Him, love people enough to serve them, trust the Father enough to risk everything to advance His kingdom, and trust the Holy Spirit enough to let Him change them and use them for His glory. Check out our website at disciples.org.au for more information.

Our Representative 01.05.2011 31:44
We're all born with a sinful nature. It's a result of what is known as The Fall (see Genesis 3). Adam - the first human and our representative - sinned, became a sinner and suffered death. Jesus came to put things right. He is our new Representative. His righteousness gives eternal life to all who trust in Him. Jesus is God's gracious gift to us!
Joy In The Gospel 17.04.2011 37:01
Do you experience daily joy in the Gospel? In the first part of Romans 5, Paul shares of the fruits we have in being justified by the life and death of Jesus Christ. We should experience joy because of the grace given to us in the Gospel.
Faith Like Abraham's 10.04.2011 21:21
There is no discrepancy between the Old and New Testaments. We are declared righteous by faith, just like Abraham was.
Jesus Took Our Punishment 03.04.2011 27:26
We learn, in this key passage of God's Word, that Jesus was crucified as the means of taking the punishment that we deserve because of our sin. This is at the heart of the Good News of the Gospel. We are justified through faith in Jesus - His life and His death - through which we are reconciled to God.
Everyone Fails 27.03.2011 31:33
Paul's intention is to ultimately show us how we can be "right" with God. But in the lead up to this, he pulls no punches in showing us how we are not right with God. No person is sinless, so we can't be right with God by our own efforts. Any attempt to do so is futile and pointless. Our only hope is to be rescued by a saviour.
God Will Judge You 20.03.2011 59:05
We don't like the idea of being judged, by anybody. But God's Word tells us that God is going to judge us - Christians and non-Christians alike. This sermon picks up on Paul's reference to God's judgment in Romans 2 for a look at the "How, Who, When, Where" questions concerning the subject of judgment..
The World We Live In 13.03.2011 29:40
Everything we see in Creation points to God as Creator. But we don't want to have to submit to His authority over all things (particularly our own lives), so Romans 1 says we suppress the truth about God and live how we want to - ignoring Him. But it comes at a cost.
Privilege & Authority 06.03.2011 32:40
Paul's opening words in his letter to the Roman church summarise the Gospel and point to the two-fold response of belief and obedience. As Christians, we have the privilege and the authority to declare the Good News of the Gospel to others.
