This Sunday, we continue thinking about the spiritual battle by turning to Ephesians 6:10–20 and the armour of God. Because Jesus has already won our freedom, we are not called to fight in fear, but to stand firm in his strength, equipped for the battle before us.

This Sunday, Genesis 6 pulls back the curtain on counterfeit power as spiritual rebellion and human ambition joined together in a world desperate to be as mighty as the 'Nephilim". But Jesus defeats the powers not by becoming monstrous, but through the cross, disarming darkness and giving his Spirit to ordinary people.

This Sunday, we move into Genesis 6 where the boundary between heaven and earth is crossed, and corruption and chaos spread through the world. But this strange and confronting passage points us to the greater Son of God, who came down not to seize, but to save - defeating the spiritual powers and bringing us home to the Father.

Why when we stop, are we still restless? This week in our final Genesis 5 sermon, we see that Noah points restless people to the deeper rest of God’s presence, and Jesus gives that rest by finishing the curse’s power and filling us with his Spirit.

This Sunday, we’re pressing into what it actually looks like to walk with Jesus today. Together, we’ll explore how the New Testament describes discipleship as a Spirit-empowered “walkabout” with Christ - learning what it means to follow him daily by faith, draw near to him, and become more like him.

This Sunday, we meet Enoch - a man who walked with God and then did not die, because God took him to be with himself. In a genealogy where death keeps interrupting every generation, Enoch shows us that walking with God leads to life - and points us to Jesus, who has conquered death and brings us home to God.

Genesis 5 isn’t just a list of names - it’s a family line of promise. While Cain’s line shows the spread of sin and death, this genealogy shows who belongs to God’s blessing. The world asks for your résumé, but God asks whose family you belong to - and in Jesus, that changes everything.

This Sunday, we begin to walk through Genesis 5 where we see that gospel frees us from living small, immediate, self-contained lives. How? Because in Jesus our story is caught up into God’s much bigger story - and when you see him for who he is, you can’t help but live with a generational perspective.

This Sunday, we step into  Acts 2:14–41  as Peter proclaims the risen Jesus - and hearts are cut to the core as the call to repent and rise to new life goes out. As the last sermon in our ARISE series, we’ll see how the resurrection doesn’t just wake a crowd, but awakens the soul.

This Sunday we see how this reaches its fulfilment in Jesus, the name of God revealed and the promised seed who saves.

This Sunday, we'll look at how Jesus has begun a new city founded on humility and sacrificial love, yet we still live surrounded by the City of Cain. So what does it actually look like for citizens of God’s kingdom to live differently in a world built on pride, revenge, and power?

This Sunday, we explore the City of Cain where Cain builds the first city in an attempt to replace the presence of God. As culture advances but violence grows, we’ll see how the Bible contrasts the City of Cain with the City of God. One is built on power and pride while the other is filled with life and light.

This Sunday, we see that Cain's punishment sends him East of Eden, but this is no ordinary exile. Genesis has been quietly building toward something that has been preparing us for the sacrificial system to come and pointing us to the lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world.

This Sunday, we see that Abel’s blood cries out from the ground for justice, exposing a world where innocent blood pollutes the land and demands reckoning. But in the gospel, Jesus’ blood speaks a better word - not denying justice, but satisfying it - so that those who deserve condemnation are cleansed, welcomed into God’s presence, and freed to live as people of grace rather than revenge.

This Sunday, after three weeks tracing the firstborn, the Croucher, and the war of two seeds, we slow down and ask the question that really matters: how do we deal with the sin croucher in the ordinary moments of our lives? Pastor Sly will help us move from theology to practice—learning, in Christ, how to recognise sin early, refuse to feed it, and put it to death before it masters us.

This Sunday, we see that Cain’s murder of Abel does not simply mark a moral failure, but reveals his true allegiance. By rejecting his brother, Cain proves himself to be seed of the serpent. But through Jesus, the true seed of the woman, God establishes a new family, showing that children of God are not defined by birth, status, or claim, but by being born again and bearing the fruit of love.

This Sunday, we see that sin is not behaviour or desire, but a crouching beast within whose insatiable desire is to consume its host. Where Cain foolishly feeds the creature and becomes enslaved by it, Jesus - fully human and without sin - starves the beast in life, absorbs its full power of death on the cross, and breaks its rule through resurrection so that sin no longer reigns over those in him...

This Sunday we jump back into our Genesis to Jesus series where, in chapter 4, we’ll see how the story of Cain and Abel reveals a long line of firstborns who tried to secure God’s favour by their own strength - and failed. Together we’ll trace that longing through Scripture, until it leads us to Jesus, the true Firstborn who doesn’t grasp for favour but receives it and shares it with his brothers.

This Sunday, guest preacher Rich Priebbenow opens Psalm 116 to show us a deeply personal song of thanksgiving, where a rescued life responds to a God who hears and saves. God’s Abundant Grace reminds us that worship begins not with what we promise God, but with remembering what He has already done.
