Ep. 65: Matilda- Salisbury Steak T.V. Dinners and Chocolate Cake 11.02.2022

This week, we discuss Matilda and eat Salisbury steak T.V. Dinners and chocolate cake. We question if Matilda’s telekinetic powers will lead her down a path to become Carrie or will Miss Honey save her? We all agree that the horrible Miss Trunchbull has some of most quotable lines in a film.

Ep. 64: Brooklyn- Spaghetti and Meatballs and Bread 04.02.2022

This week, we watch Brooklyn and splash some deliciously authentic Italian spaghetti with meatballs and bread. We discuss homesickness, beeches, and how everyone deserves a nice Tony.

Ep. 63: High School Musical- Chili Cheese Fries, Crème Brûlée Cheesecake, and Cookies 01.02.2022

This week, we return from hiatus and ring in the new year with High School Musical. We eat chili cheese fries, cookies, and a crème brûlée cheesecake before we discuss if it’s better to stick with what you know, get your head in the game, or bop to the top with a salsa beat. We all need a little gimme gimme shimmy shimmy sometimes but is this really the way to do it?

Ep. 62: Home Alone- Mac and Cheese, Pepsi, and Junior Mints 04.01.2022

For our last Christmas episode, us wet bandits sit down over a delicious bowl of mac and cheese with a side of junior mints, and try not to pee ourselves from filling up on Pepsi.

Ep. 61: Gremlins- Fried Chicken and Snickers 02.01.2022

This week we take a trip to Kingston Falls, aka Hill Valley, and watch Gremlins, our second Christmas film of the season. We eat fried chicken and a Snickers bar and take delight in the casualties in the film from Mrs. Deagle flying out of her upstairs window to Kate’s dad getting stuck in a fireplace. At least her dad didn’t get stuck tending bar for a bunch of hooligans.

Ep. 60: The Santa Clause- Denny's 11.12.2021

This week we take a trip to the North Pole, and Denny’s because it’s an American institution, for Jose’s Christmas pick The Santa Clause. We’re certain there’s a elven and reindeer conspiracy at work in this movie that involves premeditated murder and stalking. We need no proof, like Charlie, we just believe.

Ep. 59: Planes, Trains, and Automobiles- Oatmeal, Cracker Jacks, and Doritos 01.12.2021

This week we take a trip on Planes, Trains and Automobiles and eat oatmeal, Cracker Jacks, and Doritos. We can all be irritating and impatient during the holidays, but we’re thankful that we’re also forgiving and generous. Happy Thanksgiving.

Ep. 58: A Fish Called Wanda- Fish and Chips and Pears 22.11.2021

This week we brush up on our Nietzsche and find a method in the madness of A Fish Called Wanda. We have a splendid dinner of fish and chips with a pear and discuss the sounds of Jamie Lee Curtis and John Cleese's open mouth film kissing, Michael Palin assassinating dogs, and the uncontrolled passion of Kevin Kline.

Ep. 57: Fargo - Pancakes and Eggs 09.11.2021

Oh jeez. This week we take a look inward and discuss the funny-lookin' bumbling fools of Fargo after eating a hearty breakfast of pancakes and eggs. We have nothing but love for Marge and Norm, but we wonder who ends up taking care of Scotty in the end. We’re sure the lad is looked after by nice Minnesotans. You betcha.

Ep. 56: Zodiac - B.L.T.'s and Animal Crackers 06.11.2021

Circumstantial evidence surrounding our suspicious behavior during our horror movie marathon has forced us to eat B.L.T. sandwiches and animal crackers before watching Zodiac. No one may ever know who the real zodiac killer was, but it INDUBITABLY wasn’t any of us. There’s nothing to see here, but a lot to hear. Happy Halloween.

Ep. 55: The Thing (1982)- Milk Duds and Canned Food 06.11.2021

This week we get in touch with our inner things when we watch John Carpenter’s The Thing. We self-prepare and eat random canned food and Milk Duds before we discuss how many things are actually left alive in this campy research camp or if they kill the one big thing to rule them all. One thing’s for sure, now that we’ve said it, it’s sure to be thing canon according to Mr. Carpenter.

Ep. 54: Ed Wood - Goulash and Cotton Candy 26.10.2021

This week we kick off our October scary movie fest and get all gussied up to watch Ed Wood. We eat Boris Karloff’s favorite – OH NO! Strike that. – Bela Lugosi’s favorite goulash with some cotton candy. Real men are comfortable wearing pink cashmere sweaters and we are all real men here down to our frilly undies.

Ep. 53: Snowpiercer- Protein Bars and Hard-Boiled Eggs 15.10.2021

This week we eat protein bars, sans insects, and hard-boiled eggs before we hatch some new theories about the film Snowpiercer. We hope to faithfully lead you on a precise and well balanced journey into an explosive climax that Mr. Wonka would be proud of.

Ep. 52: Defending Your Life- Fettuccine Alfredo, Pie, and Shrimp 06.10.2021

What happens when we die?  Is there a great cosmic machine made to separate the little-brains from the big-brains or do we just fade to black? Can we fall in love in purgatory? This week we overcome our little-brained earthly fears and eat all of the pasta with Alfredo sauce, shrimp, and pie we can while we unravel the meaning of the universe in our discussion of Defending Your Life.

Ep. 51: Nacho Libre- Elotes, Chips, and Beans 24.09.2021

This week is our year anniversary show. We use our sweet skills to eat an explosive combination of elotes, and beans with chips. We don’t really find films that are more flatulent than we are so we put on our stretchy pants and battle through a discussion of Nacho Libre to celebrate.

Ep. 50: Muriel's Wedding- Wedding Cake, Honeyed Prawns, and Fried Rice 20.09.2021

For our year anniversary, we have a nice reception with honeyed prawns, fried rice, and a slice of chocolate cake with whipped icing before we discuss Muriel’s Wedding. We tell no lies about what we would plan if we ever get married and make our lives into an ABBA song. Just like Muriel/Mariel, we’ve developed nicely over the past year. At least the podcast has lasted longer than her marriage and...

Ep. 49: Iron Man- Whoppers and Green Juice 12.09.2021

This week, we launch into some Iron Man action with what Tony Stark considers an American cheeseburger and some green juice. We are all cheeky geniuses here on Dinner with a Movie so we’re in good company with Mr. Stark as we decide if Obadiah is a good villain or if Pepper is really just another damsel in distress. We all agree that the first Iron Man film has led us on a path to some great and n...

Ep. 48: Manhunter- Mars Bars, Jell-O, and Cereal 03.09.2021

This week we’re visited by our friend Kyle to get to the bottom of a variety pack of cereal and orange Jello, bite off more than we can chew from a Mars bar, and investigate the film Manhunter. We’ll let you decide if Manhunter is better than Red Dragon, but we figure out that yelling in anger while talking to yourself is the best way to catch a killer.

Ep. 47: Her- Cup of Noodles and a Fruit Smoothie 27.08.2021

This week we're joined by our friend Andrew to eat a cup of noodles and drink a fruit smoothie. We talk about Her and discuss if she’s really manipulative or just an OS coming to terms with her new life. We also get a little weird and creepy sometimes, but it doesn’t keep us from finding the love that we deserve.

Ep. 46: Meet the Robinsons- Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwiches and Fruit 22.08.2021

This week, we have peanut butter and boysenberry jelly sandwiches with an apple, banana, and tangerine. We travel to the future, present, and alternate future then wind up in the past and watch Meet the Robinsons. We continue our long-lasting discussion on the troubles of time travel in films and agree that what the Robinsons really need is Goob and maybe a little better animation.

Ep. 45: Welcome to Woop Woop: Wienerschnitzel, Almond Joy, and French Fries 14.08.2021

Is this week’s film a brilliant satire or just a crazy mess in a garbage heap? We’ll let you decide as we go way down under and hop into Welcome to Woop Woop. We have fair dinkam tucker of wienerschnitzel, fries, and an Almond Joy and keep our eyes out for abductors and Big Red. Cheers!

Ep. 44: Ford v. Ferrari- Burritos and Fizzy Pops 05.08.2021

This week, we get fueled up on burritos and fizzy pop to discuss why a film about Shelby and Miles is named Ford v Ferrari. We attempt to stay on track as we weave on and off topic with our brotherly love leading us to victory. Well, maybe not victory but a close second.

Ep. 43: Crazy, Stupid, Love- Sbarro Pizza and Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream Cones 29.07.2021

Is there a one true love for everyone or is it all just a sham for a-holes? This week we talk about Crazy, Stupid, Love. and try to look like cool playboys while we eat pizza and mint chocolate chip ice cream cones. We’re a little bit crazy, a little more stupid, but our love keeps us together as we attempt to have the confidence to be better than the Gap.

Ep. 42: Rush Hour- Chow Mein 27.07.2021

This week we talk Rush Hour with a plate of Chow Mein by our side. Even though Chow Mein wasn't good enough for James Carter, we've got a craving for it, and a craving for classic Jackie Chan action. But that might be all we have a craving for in this movie. Maybe we just needed a full-length Soo-Yung Mariah Carey karaoke feature film and we would've been happier.

Ep. 41: Kill Bill: Vol. 1- Sushi 18.07.2021

This week we're joined by our amazing friend Corinna Folkins to discuss Kill Bill: Vol. 1 and why Tarantino wants to keep choking his actresses so badly.
