We continue our scary movie marathon this week with Get Out. We have hot tea and hypnotize ourselves into eating carrot cake, Froot Loops with milk, and chocolate covered Bavarian cream filled donuts. Get Out is a fun film to watch and even more fun to discuss, but when we wake up from being in the Sunken Place will we remember any of it?

We’re very happy that you decided to put the lotion in the basket and come visit us in our cell to kick off this year’s spooky movie marathon. We’re eating spring lamb chops, corn, peas, and a baked potato before discussing Silence of the Lambs. The excellent cast really makes this incredibly meme-able fun family film for us. With a great podcast comes a great dinner with a movie and this week we talk about Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse after we eat burgers. There’s no doubt that this film is one of the best superhero films ever made. Every part of the film’s story, animation, and soundtrack makes this one of the few films that we give all tens. We just hope the next Spider-verse film retains the power of this one.

We’re aided in our unwavering search for who done it this week by watching Clue and eating mock shark fin soup only because we couldn’t find the monkey’s brains. We all agree that the film has holes and its multiple endings don’t really line up with the rest of the film, but the comedy and performances are treasures that are to die for.

Jose seeks food in happy meals, Blake boldly goes where he has never gone before, and Brandon gets lost in the final frontier as we discuss Star Trek: The Motion Picture. There’s a lot to unpack in this pop culture film. We do our best to make your trip through the stars as entertaining as possible on a ship where no one eats, sleeps, or goes to the bathroom.

This week we all got Whiplash from from being continually smacked in the face by J. K. Simmons. Some of us took the abuse better than others, but we all got our stuff together and made this spectacularly professional show for our wonderful fans. Nothing’s going to ruin our reputation. We’re number one. Somewhere.

This week we do some extensive traveling and watch The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy and eat toast, strawberries, grapes, fancy cupcakes, and have a spot of tea. This week, we talk about Animal House and eat animal style hamburgers and fries and donuts for dessert. We reminisce about our own college experiences and agree that being in a frat would be too much work. The film may not be well constructed and needs a hero, but its influence can not be denied. Although many films have tried, Animal House can never be remade and maybe that’s a good thing.
