Dave and Gwen's Baby Boomer Show

We had an amazing sail last week and saw Ringo and his all star band. We also were awed by humpback whales in the Santa Barbara Channel. This week we get physical exams, dental, eye and derm. A yearly review for this baby-boomer couple!

We discuss the recent carnage from an unstable young man with access to multiple guns that killed 6 UCSB students. We also talk about Dave's first overnight trip as a docent for Amtrak.

Molly (miniature schnauzer) was euthanized on Tuesday, January 14, 2014. She was "the one" and will remain in our hearts and souls forever.

We share our annual prophecies and discuss our dog that we adore and is not doing well (cancer).

We have two months out of the year where we are the same age. Gwen entered her sixth decade on September 9th and we celebrated by buying a new car.

Dave finished the one mile swim and came in 3rd in his age group. Next year our whole family has agreed to participate and if all complete we will get a Morse tattoo!

We grew potatoes for the first time, go figure!! We also have avocadoes coming in for the first time. We also talk about visiting www.freedom.org and support their work in saving wild horses.

We just returned from a cruise that started in Rome, toured the Greek Islands, Turkey, Croatia and ended up in Venice. What a way to spend our 33rd wedding anniversary and Dave's birthday (the day after our anniversary--I wanted to be sure he didn't forget!).

Dave's 40th was last year and Gwen's was this year. We talk about the trip to Gwen's hometown and attending her 40th high school reunion in Homewood Flossmoor as well as seeing Chicago!

Today our engine overheated while we are out motoring in the Santa Barbara Channel and then while we were docking Gwen fell overboard!
