Jan 26- Moses 7 21-26 26.01.2022

Today we talk about what it means that the city of Enoch came to be "in the process of time."  And we learn about the jerk-face nature of the adversary.

Jan 25- Moses 7:13&18 25.01.2022

We talked the other day about Zion and what it means to be of one heart and of one mind. But what does it mean to have no poor among us? Can it mean more than we maybe sometimes think? I believe so! Holland- https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/general-conference/2006/04/broken-things-to-mend?lang=eng

Jan 24- Moses 7:1-4 24.01.2022

Standing in holy places may mean that we have to change directions, may have to mean that we set aside our ideas, thoughts or desires in order to listen to the Lord and become closer to Him.

Jan 23- Moses 7:18 23.01.2022

As we begin a chapter al about how Enoch built his Zion society, let talk today about Zion. What is it? And why is it closer to us that we sometimes imagine?

Jan 22: Moses 6:57 22.01.2022

We do our best to teach and testify of Christ in all things so that when our children go out into the world on their own, they will always know the source to look for peace and for redemption.

Jan 21- Moses 6:32-35 21.01.2022

Today we learn about the promises the Lord makes Enoch as Enoch trusts Him and obeys Him. As you and I follow the Lord in our lives we can experience His promised blessings as well.

Jan 20- Moses 6:31 20.01.2022

When Enoch was called to be a prophet, he wondered why God would choose him, with his weaknesses he asked God if he was actually needed in His work. God has always used imperfect people to further His work along. YES, he needed Enoch. And YES He needs YOU!

Jan 19- Moses 25-28 19.01.2022

Today we learn about Enoch's command to Prophecy and call repentance, and how those two things go hand in hand!

Jan 18- Moses 6:3 18.01.2022

What does it mean to make an acceptable sacrifice to the Lord? Are we sometimes like Cain and believe that we can throw any effort onto the altar of God that that it will be deemed acceptable? Or do we understand that true sacrifice isn't about the item sacrificed, but about the state of our hearts.

Jan 17- Moses 6:1-2 17.01.2022

Today we talk about proper stewardship and how, even though their trial was fierce, Adam and Eve were able to carry on.

Jan 16- Moses 5:10-11 16.01.2022

Before we jump head first into this weeks CFM block I had to look at one final principle that we learn from Adam and Eve and the Joy they find in their mortal experience.

Jan 15- Moses 5 15.01.2022

What an incredible lesson we see on obedience when we compare the obedience of Adam and Eve to the obedience of Cain and Able.  Packer- https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/general-conference/1983/04/agency-and-control?lang=eng

Jan 14- Gen 3:20-21 14.01.2022

After the transgression of Adam and Eve the Lord makes clothes for them, to cover them. Here we see the second symbol of the Atonement of Jesus Christ. Kippur the Hebrew word for Atonement literally means to cover. When we compare what the Lord could do for them to the meager covering of fig leaves they tried to make for themselves, it becomes glaringly obvious how much we need the Savior.  M...

Jan 13- Gen 3:14-17 13.01.2022

Today we get to see the very first reference we have of the atonement of Jesus Christ in the Old Testament! Also we use Hebrew translations to better understand the Lord's words to Eve.

Jan 12- Gen 3:8-13 12.01.2022

God asks Adam, "Where art thou?" Now let's not pretend for a second that God didn't know where Adam was. He knew where he was, he knew what he had done. But he was giving Adam the opportunity to come to Him with it. In our lives as we ebb and flow, I feel like this would be an important question to ask ourselves every now and then. "Where art thou?"

Jan 11:Gen 3:2-5 11.01.2022

Today we learn that one of the purposes of this experience is to experience JOY. That joy can come to us BECAUSE of Jesus Christ.

Jan 10- Gen 3:1 Moses 4:6 10.01.2022

Today we will talk a little bit about the serpent, and lessons we can learn as the serpent "knew not the plan of God."

Jan 9- Moses 4:1-2 09.01.2022

Today we talk a little bit about the cheap salvation that satan tried to offer us. His offer of salvation was worth exactly what he was willing to pay for it. Contrast that to the Savior, who was willing to pay the ultimate price for our salvation and because of the price He was willing to pay, He was able to offer us enduring Salvation.  McConkie- https://speeches.byu.edu/talks/bruce-r-mccon...

Jan 8- Gen 2:18-22 08.01.2022

The Lord teaches us beautiful lessons about marriage as He joins Adam and Eve together.

Jan 7- Genesis 2 07.01.2022

What a blessing it is to know and to understand that our spirit didn't begin at the "breath of life." But rather that our spirits combined with our bodies create our soul.

Jan 6- Moses 3 and Abraham 4 06.01.2022

As we study the creation in the books of Moses and Abraham we see that God watched to see that the elements obeyed before moving on to the next thing. Meaning the creation only progressed as the creations obeyed God. You and I can progress and change and become better as we obey God and rely on the grace of Christ! Kimball- Teachings of Spencer W Kimball Pg 215 Wilcox- Continuous Conversion pg 52

Jan 5- Gen 2:2 05.01.2022

Understanding God's definition of rest can give us a clearer picture of what our Sabbath Day should look like.  Holland- Book- On Earth As It Is In Heaven pg 71 Faust- https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/general-conference/1991/10/the-lords-day?lang=eng

Jan 4- Gen 1:25-26 04.01.2022

We are made in God's image yes, but also His likeness. And that is even more important!

Jan 3- The Creation 03.01.2022

Today we talk a little more about creating our days spiritually before we create them temporally. And we listen to a portion of a talk by Pres Nelson about each phase of the creation.  Bednar- https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/general-conference/2008/10/pray-always?lang=eng Nelson- https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/general-conference/2000/04/the-creation?lang=eng

Jan 2- Gen 1:1 Moses 2:1 Abraham 3:5 02.01.2022

How does fully understanding the Who of creation help us appreciate the creation more? And how does it fuel our fire of creation? Uchtdorf- https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/general-conference/2008/10/happiness-your-heritage?lang=eng
