Today we talk about a burnt offering and what the symbol of complete consumption can teach us!

Today we talk symbolism. The Lord taught in symbols in His day, and in His holy temples He continues to teach us with symbols.

When we are willing to show up, they Lord can take our efforts and multiply them. 

As Moses teaches the children of Israel 2 ways that they can more fully consecrate themselves to the Lord, we can learn what consecration is and how we live it today. 

Today we get on overview of the tabernacle of Moses.

Today we see that even though through the Atonement of Jesus Christ we receive mercy and forgiveness of sin, that doesn't always remove the natural consequences of sin. 

Because of the Atonement of Jesus Christ, we do not have to be defined by our mistakes. Instead we get the chance to be refined by our repentance!

Today we learn a powerful lesson from Aaron about the dangers of rationalization.

As we deviate into chapter 25 a bit, we learn about the Ark of the Covenant. The Ark was built to carry the things that were most sacred to the children of Israel. Today, as we being our study of the 10 commandments, remember what the Savior taught us about the law. There are higher and holier ways to live the 10 commandments. While we believe in and live the 10 commandments, we would do well to ask ourselves, "is there a higher and holier way to live this law?" The Lord invites the children of Israel to have a special experience with Him, but asks them to sanctify themselves in preparation for all that the Lord wanted to give them. In our lives the Lord wants us to have powerful manifestations of His power and love as well, but He likewise expects something from us. 

When the people understood the blessings that the Lord wanted to pour out upon them, they were anxious to do anything that was asked of them. Of course they would fall short, as we all do. My friends, HE LIVES! And because He lives, we will again too. 

Is there something you are needing in your life? I testify that as you come first to the atonement of Christ, He can heal, strengthen, bless, pour out peace, offer forgiveness, enable you to forgive or whatever else you seek. 

The word ATONEMENT translates into Arabic as a warm embrace. Are we doing all things to draw near enough to the Savior to feel His warm embrace regularly in our lives?

Often times we are well aware that the Savior's atonement can cleanse us from sin, but do we truly understand how He can reclaim us from the effects that sin has on our lives and hearts? I think that for the most part we understand that if we can hold out faithful, all will be well in the end. But let me get real for a second, sometimes in the middle f trial or pain, it is hard to remember or even care. However, Christ's atonement is there for us ALWAYS! We can and well experience the "immediate goodness of God" as we wait for the Sunday's of life. I testify that we can experience...

Often times when we think of the Lord's work we think of what He has already done. His life, atonement, death and resurrection. But Isaiah helps us understand that His work continues with each of us today. Our salvation is continuously before Him and He delights in bringing to pass our eternal life.
