Today we talk about the desire of young Soloman's heart, which was the gift of discernment. A gift that we should all be seeking out and striving to develop.

Today we are reminded of the revelation that comes to the prophets of God, as well as God's consistent love for His kids, even knowing the mistakes we will make, are making, or have made. 

It is so sad, and honestly so hard to read about the fall of David. And it is painful to watch how, rather than repent he continues to dig himself in, deeper and deeper by attempting to cover his sins. Today we learn from Uzzah and the danger of looking outside of our stewardships to "steady the ark."

David helps us learn in this chapter that no matter what, in our successes and in our failures, Gd is with us to strengthen us and to make us whole 

Today we learn some true principles of friendship through the example of Jonathan. 

Through David's experience fighting Goliath, we can gain insights that we can apply into our lives to help us learn how to overcome the modern day Goliath's in our lives.

Today we talk about how to respond when someone assumes the worst about us, and how to trust in God's promises.

There is a great deal we can learn from Hannah about how to navigate trial and difficulty! 

I love Boaz! I love the shadow of Christ that he shows us! I love that he doesn't just offer Ruth grace one time, to glean his fields, but he tells her to come back everyday, that she could go to him whenever she was in need. In a similar way, the Savior offers us CONTINUOUS grace. He doesn't just give us one shot at it, but invites us to come to Him whenever we are in need. He never turns us away...

Yesterday we talked about the selflessness of Naomi, today we talk about the loyalty of Ruth. If "the crowning characteristic of love is always loyalty," then here in these verses we see Ruth's great love. Her love for Naomi led to her loyalty to her. Today we begin the book of Ruth by talking about the wonderfully selfless Naomi. 

Today we talk about Samson, and the desires that his parents had to raise him up to the Lord. Even though Samson used his agency to make some really bad choices there are promises made to righteous parents. 

Today we talk about the Lord strengthening the faith of Gideon and the children of Israel, and how He is anxious to do the same for us if we will have eyes to see. 

Today we discuss the miracle that the army of the Israelites experienced in battle and we see that the Lord continues to fight our battles in the Latter-Days. 

Today we talk about the thorn in the children of Israel's side and why the Lord chose not to remove it, as well as Deborah, who she is and what we can come to know about her as we dig into the Hebrew! Spoiler alert, IT'S AWESOME!
