Climbing the Castle

We have another bonus episode for you guys this week. This one was one of our favorites but i've been sitting on it for a while now. Schedules have been tight lately and we're still trying to record Hoppers which I want to bump to the front of the line so I decided to release this instead of breaking up the two Tinkerbell episodes we have.

This week Charlie and I are taking a dive into the world of shorts. Disney got its start with short-form animation and it's time we went back and looked at the roots of this company. This week we watched 3 of some of the most iconic Disney shorts, Including the debut of Mickey himself in Steamboat Willy.

We're back with another random movie we've never heard of before. And much like most of the other movies in that category it shocked us with how good it is. Now while this movie isn't going to win any awards its highly entertaining. It brings back that old school Disney feel which was refreshing to see again.

After hearing this has the lowest rating of all Disney movies we were already on edge especially coming out of last weeks movie, however we were pleasantly surprised to find out that was far from the case and it could even be argued this movie might actually be good. The Jungle Book 2 is nothing groundbreaking however in this case the less is more approach may have finally actually worked out.

After a longer than anticipated break we are finally back!! And we're picking right back up to more DisneyToon Studios movies. This week we have Piglet's Big Movie. Quite honestly this is the worst of the WTP movies we've seen so far. The ongoing tradition of everyone being a villain continues and even doubles down here. Of course leading to another chaotic episode from us.

What better way to close out the year than with a little bit of chaos, because what's a Winnie the Pooh episode without chaos. This series has easily become one of my favorites for us to talk about because you never know what's gonna happen and this episode is no different. With all of the same loveable antics we've come to know it's no surprise this movie is just as fun.

We're finally back with a new original full length story. Cinderella III: A Twist in Time is regarded as one of the best straight to home video sequels released by Disney. And at the start of this episode Charlie and I were hesitant to agree, However after discussing for a bit we can definitely see the appeal.

Another week of tough scheduling for us means it's time for another talk episode. This week we discuss all things Disney games, from video games, card games, to tabletop we go through some of the most popular, and some of our personal favorites.

This week Charlie and I Return to Neverland in the Peter Pan sequel that impressed us alot more than we were expecting it to. With a mix of comedy, action, drama, and a solid score this sequel has everything your looking for and more. It's pretty rare when the sequel is better than the original but this is definitely one of those cases.

Have you ever wanted to watch The Little Mermaid in reverse? Well you're in luck because that's exactly what this sequel is. In The Little Mermaid II: Return to the Sea we meet Melody, Ariel's daughter who just want's to explore the sea. While this movie does provide some underwhelming follow-ups it's far from the worst thing we've seen.

Wer'e back to pride rock yet again in an offbeat telling of the Lion King from Timon and Pumba's perspective in Lion King 1 1/2. This was a very interesting concept for a movie that actually paid off. Disney was able to pull off a straight up comedy that did not feel forced. A lot of fun jokes and fourth wall breaking allowed them to retell a story with a new light.
