I break down the Vancouver Canucks' 4-1 loss to the Vegas Golden Knights in the season finale for both teams. I also touch on some of the biggest storylines of the season, and speculate a bit about the futures of Brock Boeser and Rick Tocchet.

Nikita Tolopilo made 15 saves in his NHL debut to help the Vancouver Canucks defeat the San Jose Sharks 2-1 in overtime. Quinn Hughes notched an assist to tie Alex Edler for most points in Canucks history with 409 points.

The Vancouver Canucks became the first team in NHL history to erase a three-goal deficit in the final minute of regulation in their 6-5 overtime win over the Dallas Stars. With the win the Canucks have staved off elimination from the playoff hunt...for at least one more day.

With five games to go in this disappointing season, it's not too early to anticipate some of the biggest storylines that will likely dominate the final two weeks of the season and beyond. These include (but are not limited to): Rick Tocchet's future, Thatcher Demko's next contract, whether or not Brock Boeser and Pius Suter will resign with the team, and what other players the Canucks...

The Canucks played well for half the game but it certainly wasn't enough to beat the Vegas Golden Knights. Aatu Raty, Elias Pettersson, and Kevin Lankinen had strong games for the Canucks.

The Canucks came up flat in game they absolutely needed to win to keep their very slim playoff hopes alive, losing 5-0 the the Seattle Kraken. Despite the loss, viewers of the show were very upbeat, resulting in a memorable extra 30 minutes at the end!

With their 3-1 loss to Winnipeg Jets, the Vancouver Canucks' playoff hope are essentially dead. They will need to go at least 7-1 (if not 8-0) to make the playoffs this season.

The Vancouver Canucks beat the New York Islanders 5-2 for their second consecutive victory. Kiefer Sherwood led the way with two goals and one assist, and the Canucks got depth scoring from Aatu Raty, Derek Forbert, and Teddy Blueger. Thatcher Demko made another 26 saves for his second straight win.

The Vancouver Canucks picked up a massive two points with a 4-3 shootout win over the New Jersey Devils. Conor Garland tied the game in the final minute and Jonathan Lekkerimaki provided the shootout winner in a game where Quinn Hughes logged 31 minutes and Thatcher Demko made his return to the line up.

Yesterday was a worst-case scenario for the Vancouver Canucks and their playoff chances: they lost their game vs. the New York Rangers while all three of the St. Louis Blues, Calgary Flames, and Utah Hockey Club all won. Do the Canucks have any chance of making the playoffs with 12 games to go?

Brock Boeser scored two goals (including the game-tying goal with 3 seconds left in regulation) in the Vancouver Canucks 4-3 overtime loss to the St. Louis Blues. This was a massive game with playoff implications, as the Blues took over sole spot of the second wildcard spot.

I preview Thursday night's game between the Vancouver Canucks and the St. Louis Blues; it's the biggest game of the season for both teams. We'll see if Conor Garland returns to the line up, and hopefully we'll hear news about the status of Thatcher Demko and Filip Chytil.

Of course it's fun to cheer on the Canucks in the playoffs. But is it the best thing for the franchise to make the postseason only to face a juggernaut like the Winnipeg Jets in the first round?

Filip Hronek had two assists and Carson Soucy had the game-winning goal as the Vancouver Canucks defeated the Anaheim Ducks 3-2 in their final game before Friday's trade deadline. Although he was held off the scoresheet, Elias Pettersson had a strong game with 3 shots, 5 hits, and 20 wins in the faceoff circle out of 25 faceoffs.

With the trade deadline quickly approaching on Friday, it will be fascinating to see what approach the Canucks take. Will they become traditional buyers? Will they become sellers are start a retool? And what will happen with Brock Boeser?

Conor Garland had two goals including the overtime winner as the Vancouver Canucks defeated the Los Angeles Kings 3-2. Quinn Hughes returned to the line up for the first time since getting injured at the end of January.
