CISN in the Morning

The great debate this morning was about the most re watchable movie of all time. Jack says The Little Mermaid, Chris, Dumb and Dumber & Matt Forrest Gump. Plus we debut Kijiji Price Is RIght and chat about Garth's daughter getting engaged at one of his shows. 

Look who's finally back from vacation, Chris Scheetz! We talk about his fishing on the rivers of BXC experience, plus he informs everyone about the legend of Pig Nose the fish. We also get into your fishing stories and chat about what experts are saying is the big reason divorce rates are on the decline. 

It's not everyday that Garth Brooks gives you a call. The man, the myth, the legend talks about Edmonton, karaoke, names, living with Matt and much more! Plus we get into stuff you missed out on since Jack missed out on Garth's first shows. Later in the show we chat about take your kids to work day. 

Gregg's girlfriend and he have been fighting about the AC use in their place, so we thought it would be a good time to talk about the strange fights you and your S.O. have. We also gave the vacationing Chris Scheetz a call so he could have a chance to defend himself against the claims Dean Brody made against him on yesterday's show. 

Chris and Dean Brody's friendship is well know but most by now, but we find out from Dean himself about a time Chris might have taken it too far. Matt also lives up to his part in the bet against Gregg by eating the mayo and bread sandwich, too bad he forgot the jam for Greg to try. We also talk about awful first email addresses and spin the Wheel of BVJ three times!

Jack's daughter is now super into this song called "The Gummy Bear Song" and it is SUPER annoying. That got us talking about the annoying stuff your kids have been getting up to lately. Oh and who could forget about our HUGE concert announcement! 

With Matt's wedding only a month and a half away, we got talking about the best and worst parts of planning a wedding (it was mostly the worst parts). And with it being meet the parent week on the Bachelorette, we chatted about strange first meetings with your SO's folks. And we also learnt about the REAL Matt.

The line up at the Eskimo's game to get a 50/50 ticket was over an hour! But Jack still managed to get one. so that led into asking about the longest line you've ever been in. And with Gregg filling in for Chris while he's on vaycay, we figure it would be a good idea to fill out his star chart and see what he's all about.   

With jack back our new favorite segment returns! We play "Freaky Friday" and hilarity ensues. We also talk about the much awaited return of Game of Thrones and talk about the super popular stuff out there that you don't like. And with the temps on the rise, we chatted about strange sunburn treatments and lack of sun awareness back in the day!

EEEK! It's not every day Garth Brooks & his wife Trisha Yearwood stop in town to build house for Habitat for Humanity. Luckily, Chris was able to catch up with them to chat about their experience. We also had a listener email about dental work which got the phone lines lighting up.  

The Edmonton Eskimos are having a talent search to look for their next big half time performer, so that got us talking about your hidden talents. We also found out that the long time voice of Kermit the Frog is retiring, so we took call from people sharing their impressions.   

Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood surprised everyone yesterday with their appearance at the Habitat for Humanity build. That got us thinking, do you have a random celebrity run in? We also talked about Kelsey's weird app addiction and chatted about the weird apps you use.

Over the weekend Matt's cat decided it would be a good idea to chow down on a 4ft string which Matt in turn had to yank out of her like he was starting a mower. That led to some pretty incredible stories about what your pet as eaten. And with the Eskimo 50/50 looking like it might get up around the $300,000 mark for this week’s game, we also talked about the most money you've ever won.

Its National tell a secret day, so of course we took some of your dirty secrets live on the radio and shared all are dirt too. We get you all ready for the impending heat wave by talking summer treats. Plus we spin the wheel of BVJ two more times and have a redneck new involving a backyard gunfight! 

Another scorcher is lined up for the capital city today, so we asked the fine people of Edmonton how the heat has change their lives this summer. We also got an email from a fella that's dealing with a marital problem. Plus, we also chat with former Edmonton Oiler, Charlie Huddy, about the passing of teammate Dave Semenko on the day of his celebration of life. 

Chris's wasp bite from the weekend is getting worse, so we talked about terrible bug bites early in the show and got some great stories. And with both Kelsey & Chris getting multiple photo radar tickets at the same place, we had a pretty heavy chat about fighting tickets and should we abolish photo radar all together.

There's a mean old crow named Canuck in BC that terrorizes the mail carriers so much that they had to cancel all deliveries never his nest, so that led into talking about your animal attack stories. And speaking of that, Chris got stung by a wasp cleaning his gutters right on the knuckle, so we heard about your weird wasp sting stories!

With Canada Say on the horizon, we had to do something special. Lucky, Gord Bamford was able to stop in! Can we sing the anthem properly with his help? Plus, Chris shares his thoughts on why Canada is the greatest country in the world, and Matt puts together a list of everything Canadian.   

The Eskimos home opener is this Friday, and we were lucky enough to be joined by Eskie all-star, Justin Sorensen. Justin and Matt face off in an epic country music trivia battle and he helps us out for another edition of "Don't Blow It For Everyone". Plus, we hear from Aaron Pritchett about his big wedding crash he had last weekend.

it's the last couple days of school beofre summer hits, and we know that teachers are trying to get by just as much as the students. In honor of that, we asked how your teacher mailed in the last few days. And with Canada's big birthday coming up this weekend, we asked, "I know I'm Canadian because...".

We got a call from a lady who's husband is thinking of dropping some serious dough at their nephews wedding, and she's not too keen on the idea. We take your responses on what the perfect amount for a wedding gift should be. Also, we play "Eskie or PM" for tickets to their home opener on Friday!

Since it's Canada's B-Day week, we kick off the show talking about the Canadian past or present that you'd want to have dinner with. And a little bit later in the show we get a call from a lady who is all fired up about how Canadians aren't patriotic enough. Plus we get into strange reasons you had to go to the hospital!

The Edmonton Eskimos kick off their season this weekend and we were super lucky to have Eskie all star center, Justin Sorensen, in studio for an hour. We call his American buddy for another round of "Ask An American" and set Matt up for an arm wrestle. That, and we talk about your first world problems! 

Crazy story out of the Yukon, there's a bar that offers a shot with a human toe in it, but someone has stolen the toe. Surprisingly enough, people around Edmonton have done it! We also chat with Shannon who has a issue with her hubby and movies. Plus we make another call to our neighbours to the South with, "Ask An American".

It's the first full day of summer, so we celebrated by playing a whole bunch of your favorite summer jams along with ours. We also made another call down to the states for a round of "Ask an American" for the Canada 150 tickets. Plus we get into what you should get your teacher as a gift for the end of the school year!
