Episodes

Episode 54 - Jaws 28.08.2023

Scott continues to take us back in time for a leap with Steven Speilberg to one of his favourite films - the original summer blockbuster and classic monster movie - Jaws . A great way to end the season, and an interesting starting point from which to leap into season 3!

Episode 53 - The Goonies 20.08.2023

This week we leap back to our childhoods to classic 80s adventure film  The Goonies . We leapt here with actor Joe Pantoliano. Where will we leap to next? I’m guessing it will be somewhere with Spielberg…

Episode 52 - The Fugitive 13.08.2023

Scott takes us back in time to the early 90s for this weeks film –  The Fugitive  starring Harrison Ford and Tommy Lee Jones. Is this even a good movie anymore? Listen and find out!

Episode 51 - Children of Men 06.08.2023

This week we leap one year into the future from 2005’s  V for Vendetta  to another favourite of Mike’s – 2006’s  Children of Men . We leapt here with casting person Lucinda Syson.

Episode 50 - V for Vendetta 31.07.2023

This week we discuss one of Mike’s favourites – 2005s  V for Vendetta . A very violent venture veering via visionary vocations vis a vis versatile venust vixen Natalie Portman and vehement vorocious valiant Hugo Weaving.

Episode 49 - Bullet Train 23.07.2023

This week for Mike's first of three leaps we jump on a Bullet Train for an action-packed adventure across Japan. Brad Pitt stars in this action packed ride while we watch and discuss and cast our judgement.

Episode 48 - Promising Young Woman 16.07.2023

This week we discuss Glenn's third pick after leaping with sound guy Tony Solis to 2020's Promising Young Woman . A promising film, but of course everyone surely would love to know: did three middle-aged white guys think it was any good? Listen to find out!

Episode 47 - Weird: The Al Yankovic Story 09.07.2023

For the second of Glenn’s three leaps we go to the 2022 Weird Al biopic  Weird: The Al Yankovic Story . Another recent film that looks fun. Did we like it or was it a bit  Weird ? (Or both?)  Listen to find out!

Episode 46 - The Menu 02.07.2023

This episode we leap to Glenn's first of three solo leaps where he has picked Ralph Fiennes to leap to 2022 film The Menu (which none of us had seen before). Did this film leave a bad taste in our mouths, or did we enjoy the dark and unsettling flavours meticulously presented? Listen to find out!

Episode 45 - The Grand Budapest Hotel 25.06.2023

This week we again leap without Nicolas Cage, but instead with Harvey Keitel to spend some time at The Grand Budapest Hotel . What an amazing place, and an interesting movie. Listen to find out if we all enjoyed our time in this extreme colour palette.

Episode 44 - National Treasure 18.06.2023

This episode we leap with stunt person Heidi Moneymaker to Nicolas Cage adventure film National Tresaure . That's twice in a row that Keanu could have been chosen as a leaper, and twice he was overlooked! What is going on? Will we overlook leaping with Nic Cage next?!?

Episode 43 - John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum 05.06.2023

This week we leap straight into the next John Wick film with executive producer David Leitch. Leitch actually co-directed the first Wick film but was uncredited with Chad Stahelski getting the full credit for that film. Do the Wick films get better each time, or was Chapter 2 the peak? Listen and see what we think!

Episode 42 - John Wick: Chapter 2 28.05.2023

This week we leap to with another uncredited leaper – but at least it’s to another (and arguably better) Keanu film – John Wick: Chapter 2. Will we stick with Keanu for a third film of his this season, or leap elsewhere? Did we love John Wick 2? So many unanswered questions, but one thing we do know – with Glenn choosing the next film surely he won’t screw us over again!

Episode 41 - Edge of Tomorrow 21.05.2023

This week we leap with tech support Noah Taylor to another Tom Cruise film, 2014 sci fi action film Edge of Tomorrow . Where will we go from here? We are yet to leap with Cruise himself...

Episode 40 - Vanilla Sky 14.05.2023

This week we leap to one of Glenn's favourite films (for some reason) Vanilla Sky . We leapt here with director Steven Spielberg who has nothing to do with this film but briefly appears to wish Tom Cruise's character 'Happy Birthday'.

Episode 39 - Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade 08.05.2023

This week we leap with composer John Williams to the third and some people (Mike) might say - best - Indiana Jones film: Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. We explore and dig into this film, with many adventures along the way, and discuss if it is as good now as it was then.

Episode 38 - Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens 01.05.2023

This week we leap to a galaxy far, far away and discuss the 2015 continuation of the Star Wars saga that began way back in 1977. It's hard not to love a good Star Wars movie, but is this a good Star Wars movie? We leapt here through Andy Serkis because Scott didn't want to watch Lord of the Rings .

Episode 37 - Long Shot 23.04.2023

This week we leap with Charlize Theron to a comedy where she stars alongside Seth Rogen - 2019 film Long Shot . A political rom com that is actually quite humorous.

Episode 36 - A Million Ways To Die In The West 16.04.2023

This week we leap to our second western. Hopefully this one is better than our first seasons foray into westerns... A Million Ways To Die In The West has a much lower imdb score than The Assassination Of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford , but more importantly, how will our score compare (we gave Jesse James 9/30) ... surely this can't be worse. We leapt from Knock Knock to 2014 comedy wes...

Episode 35 - Knock Knock 09.04.2023

This week we leap to a film that has had mixed reviews and a lot of hate. Sometimes, we do leap to a film many people dislike, but it can make for an interesting discussion and a fun podcast so we hope you join us and enjoy our discussion of the 2015 Keanu Reeves thriller Knock Knock as much as we did. (Spoiler... we may see one of us give our lowest score yet!)

Episode 34 - Speed 02.04.2023

Pop quiz, hotshot: Which podcast just did an episode on classic Keanu action movie Speed ? This one! We loved rewatching and discussing this film. It was interesting to see if it held up. This episode we gather speed and don't stop until we are ready to leap again, with a leap even more stupid than over an incomplete freeway!

Episode 33 - Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse 26.03.2023

This week we leap with Liev Schreiber to our first animated film, and our first Marvel film, Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse. This film was released in 2018 and features amazing animation with an equally great cast of voices. And features Nic Cage!

Episode 32 - Scream 2 19.03.2023

This week we leap with the uncredited Matthew Lillard who appears briefly in the background in Scream 2 . It was either that or Scooby Doo or something when this leaper was selected, and Scream 2 is not a bad sequel! Will we continue with the Scream films or leap elsewhere after this? Listen to find out!

Episode 31 - Scream 12.03.2023

This week we leap to our first horror movie through composer Marco Beltrami who also worked on Live Free or Die Hard . This is our first horror film of the podcast and one of Scott's favourites. A lot to talk about with this film, which was a big deal in 1996 when it was released, rejuvenating the horror genre. Does it hold up? We discuss this and more this episode and hope you enjoy.
