Cinematic Leap

This week we leap with Morena Baccarin to Joss Whedon’s 2005  Firefly  follow up  Serenity . Obviously one of Mike’s favourite films, but will it score highly once we all rate it?

This week it's back to one of Ryan Reynolds with one of his most popular roles - Deadpool . The first of Mike's three leaps takes us to this 2016 action/comedy. Join us as we discuss if it is actually any good. Obviously Mike thinks so...

After an unbearable wait, this week we leap (finally!) with Nicolas Cage to recent 2022 action comedy The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent . We discuss our love of Nic Cage (again), cageisms, and what we thought of this film. (Spoiler: actually quite bearable).

This week we leap with the great James Gandolfini, to a very different role. From playing a wild thing, to a different kind of wild, in the 1999 crime thriller 8mm. Back again to a Nicolas Cage film, and a quite dark one... what fun... where will we leap from here? Can we ignore Nic? Surely not?

Let the wild rumpus start! We're back to our regular programming with the hugely fun/depressing Spike Jonze 2009 fantasy adventure Where The Wild Things Are ! We leapt here with Aussie actor Angus Sampson though he is barely recognisable in this. Did we love this movie? We certainly enjoyed discussing it, and hope you enjoy listening.

We continue our special guest episodes this week with a friend of the show and huge film fan - Bryan Salvage. Bryan had to chose a Hans Zimmer composed film and struggled with the many great options but decided on 2004 historical adventure King Arthur .
