We bring what we have to God and he does the rest! Based on the widow's oil being multiplied by Elisha, we will bring what we have to see what God can do in and through us in this next year. It will end with a summary of the formation model that we are implementing this fall at COTH.  

Happy Father's Day!  Dad's tiptoe the line between being responsible and being fun. What is the best way to model Christ-like behavior to our families? Taking a look at Joseph and how he modeled fatherhood for Jesus in Matthew and Mark's gospels.

The Story of God series will walk through Genesis 1-11 as a reflection of the entire story of the Bible. Identity Crisis will focus on how God's story doesn't have a beginning or end, our story begins with him and we find our identity in Him because he created us.  

When God taught Israel how to build a nation that would last and that would be faithful to him, he always directed Israel towards the children and weaving God's truth into daily life. But this direction was not just for a child's parents but the entire faith community. God asserts that it takes a village to raise disciples. So how will we participate in this individual AND communal discipleship? 

Jesus curses the fig tree because it was not bearing fruit. Today's message is a warning in real time (real time parable) and an invitation to let God work on the soil from which fruit grows in your own heart.  

We all have bitter waters in our lives. Just as God used a tree to transform the bitter waters at Marah for the people of Israel, He transforms our bitter waters through Christ's death on the Cross.

Where the river of life runs, life exists. Our challenge on this Mother's Day is to invite the river of life that is mentioned in Ezekiel 47 (and referenced by Jesus in John 7:38-39) to run through our homes and carry us away into obedience to Jesus.

From the Garden of Eden, our DNA has been altered. We were made in the image of God, but were remade into the image of the serpent. Our fangs and scales are our sins and the toil of this life that keeps us from the presence of God. The Bible shows us through the Old Testament that humanity will never be able to scrape off our own scales or remove our own fangs, and that the Enemy has made its home...

Time to shed the grave clothes that have defined our past. The challenge is to write something on the piece of cloth given to each person as they enter and they leave behind something that needs to die. Take off those grave clothes and live.

Who is this man? He was a rebel with a cause to defeat anything that would come between his followers and their relationship with God. We look at Jesus making an entrance into the temple, flipping tables, and eliminating the things that would have been barriers to people not worshiping in a pure way. 

Jesus calls us to be a follower of our rabbi, not just a convert to ideas. Today's challenge is to cut through all the ideas that we believe we have converted to and make the decision to follow our rabbi and embrace his way of life.  

This week we look at what our role is as the church.

A combo sermon! Wrapping up the series on a focus on Scripture and the introduction to the book of Philemon! We will look at 4 questions to help us study/navigate the book of Philemon:  Is there a sin to be aware of?  Is there an example to follow? Is there a command to obey?  Is there something to know about God? 

Sunday's service will be a change of pace from our normal line-up of order. We will focus on the reading of scripture, anointing the church right where they are, inviting them into the journey of lent, and partaking of communion mixed with deep worship and prayer.

This is part 2 (or 3) of Meditating and Reading Scripture. This week's ending to the message will focus on meditating on Philippians 4 and the lead up will focus on Luke 24, the disciples walking on the road to Emmaus and Jesus reading them the scriptures.

Reading the Bible is just the beginning. We are all called to dive deeper into Scripture through the practices of meditation and study. Let's learn how to dive deeper together as a church.

A Daily Rhythm of Presence - God’s Word is meant to be encountered daily, not occasionally. This message focuses on developing a simple, consistent habit of reading Scripture—taking just 1–3 minutes each day to hear from God. The emphasis is not quantity, but faithfulness, helping believers see daily reading as relational rather than religious.

In a season of literal and spiritual famine, God directs the Prophet Elijah to a widow with nothing left but a handful of flour and a little oil. We explore how total surrender leads to supernatural provision. This message challenges us to give God our "last morsel" so He can reveal His infinite abundance.

How do we know if we are growing in Christ or not? Jesus gave us the thermometer. Serving and becoming love are the checkpoints to see if we are growing or regressing.  

Are we ready for God to take us to "an Everyday depth" with Him? God honors faithfulness not flashiness. We are going to explore some of the spiritual growth gaps that are common among all people and look to take next steps to spiritual growth in Christ.

Salvation is only the beginning of the Christian experience. We are not called to be saved and then do nothing. God has created and designed each of us to accomplish specific roles for the advancement of God’s kingdom. Our responsibility as employees of the Kingdom is to continually be formed so that we may live out the purposes for which God created us to execute.
