When life is hard, joy can seem far away. But God promises joy in His presence. We get to make the choice to experience joy and when we do, we learn that the greatest enemy of joy isn't pain, it's distraction!  

This time of year, we see PEACE everywhere, but sometimes we struggle to feel peace in our hearts. Through Jesus, we have peace with God and the peace of God. Peace isn't found in the absence of problems, but in the presence of God. 

Advent is a tradition where we celebrate the birth of Jesus. Over this 4-week period, we will go through the themes of Advent that were decided in the 4th century - HOPE, PEACE, JOY, & LOVE.

As the series wraps up, we teach on the Davidic covenant and its significance to the story of God and humanity. Logan will have a landing on the New Covenant through Jesus. We end the service standing in awe of God as David did in the last part of 2 Samuel 7.  

Adultery is a sin that never remains small. We will explore the effects of David's actions with Bathsheba and the downfall of himself, his family, and the ripple effect that adultery can have on an entire family and generation.

The voice of Jesus brings us out of darkness and back into life! What area of your life does Jesus need to speak into? Jarius was a man who was living in the darkness of his daughter's illness and had very little hope. But Jesus showed up and spoke life into her and raised her from the dead. Jesus is still speaking and still raising things back to life!

Faith over fear! In each of the stories in Mark 5 (and even going back to Mark 4), there is fear present that others have to overcome. The bleeding woman in Mark 5 is an example of facing fear of not getting well. She had exhausted her options, and Jesus was her one and only hope for healing!  She pressed past the disappointment and pressed into Jesus.  Jesus has authority over sickness!

Kneeling before Jesus is more important than we imagine. On our knees before Jesus, we can be freed from Satan's bondage; on our knees before Jesus, our requests can be answered. On our knees before Jesus, we can recognize His power in our lives.
