Why we as believers baptize our children.

Paul identified himself, as we are who are in Christ, as an "ambassador in chains." The sermon, the last in the series from Ephesians, has us consider 1) Who we are; 2) What we do; and 3) Why we are who we are and do what we do.

Prayer is essential to our core identity as God's children and to being in close communion with God.

The Sword of the Spirit. What is it? Why do we need it? How did Paul understand it? "Look what the world is coming to!?!!? No! Look Who is coming to the world!"

The Christian life is a team sport, a community, a living organism with the stronger encouraging the weaker and all growing in the grace of Jesus Christ our Lord.

In the midst of the Old Covenant which promised God's blessing for obedience, God's New Covenant with His people was revealed in which God said, "I will be your God and you will be my people."

Ephesians 6 as to the whole armor of God includes at verse 17, "And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God..." What is meant by the "helmet of salvation"? What is it? Why do we need it? and finally, What and how would the Apostle Paul have understood it to mean? Listen!

The shield of faith. 1) What is it? 2) Why do we need it? 3) What did Paul understand it to be? Ephesians 6:16; Psalms 3:1-4;28:7;119:114; Genesis 15:1.

"Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace." Shoes? Feet? Readiness? 1) What is it?; 2) Why do we need it?; 3) How did Paul understand it?

The Breastplate of Righteousness. 1) What is it?; 2) Why do we need it?; and 3) How did the Apostle Paul understand it? As we continue in the series in Ephesians we look back to Isaiah 59 to help us understand the source of the breastplate of righteousness, who is, the Divine Warrior.

In Luke 15, Jesus spoke his parables of the lost sheep, the lost coin and of the two sons, also known as the parable of a prodigal son or the loving father. In this sermon, Deacon Raul Issa helps us consider the parable of the Loving Father and the two lost sons and how we may see ourselves in this story.

God has equipped His people with armor that will defend us and assault the enemy. This armor of God is rooted in the the Divine Warrior who is mighty in battle and begins with TRUTH.
