If you could invite one person in human history to a dinner party, who would it be? Perhaps you answer, Jesus! Are you sure about that? Today, we see Jesus raising eyebrows at a dinner party by dropping some kingdom truths on the guests and host of the party. Much to learn and apply from today’s text!

Do you ever think about the afterlife? What heaven or hell would be like? What those who have come before us are experiencing now? How permanent is the eternal state after death? What might those beyond the grave want to say to the living if they could? This morning, Jesus opens a window into the afterlife to show us how to live & believe today!

Lack of self-awareness-you’ve seen it in others, and perhaps you’ve got some blind spots yourself. But, there’s one area of life that we can’t afford to lack self-awareness. Today, Jesus shows us the stark contrast between two types of people seeking God’s acceptance in two different ways. Come, let’s learn from God’s word this morning!

Perhaps one of the most well known parables of Jesus, the parable of the Good Samaritan not only answers the question, "Who is my neighbor and how do I love them?," but also the question, "What must I do to inherit eternal life?" We look no further than Jesus himself to see the fulfillment of all of these things.

When Jesus instructs his disciples regarding forgiveness the question soon arises, “how many times?” Christ then gives a parable reflecting God’s mercy towards man and how we are to emulate this same grace. Let us walk through this parable together.

The “Parable of the Talents” may be one of the most well know parables, however, its significance can be vastly underestimated. This story is intended for believers to evaluate how faithful they are as stewards of God’s grace. Let us examine this important teaching together!

What makes for a full and rich life? Humans have been trying to answer that question since the dawn of time. Is it the accumulation of things or wealth? Is it the people we do life with? is it something else? In today’s text, Jesus’ reminds us what brings life fullness and what doesn’t. Come, let’s learn from God’s word this morning!

Even the most beautiful house without a foundation is worthless and will fall. In the same way, building your life on the right foundation leads to freedom and a life that will not fail.

Have you ever heard the phrase, “Things aren’t always what they seem?” You’ve likely experienced this reality in life. Today, in the parable of the Prodigal Son, “things aren’t what they seem” with the two sons. Much to learn from Jesus’ parable today about God’s heart for the lost and those who don’t think they are lost!

We have all lost something valuable and sought to find it. Today, we will see what God values, what He is willing to do to seek out what he loves, and how He responds when the lost are found. There is much to learn today about Jesus' heart for those who humble themselves before him!

Jesus told everyday easy-to-understand stories to teach significant spiritual lessons. Today, we begin our summer series in the Parables of Jesus with the first of Jesus’ parables, the parable of the soils. The central question this parable raises is, “Will you receive the word of God or not? If not, why not? If so, what will it produce? Come, let’s hear and understand the Word of God this morning...

Jerusalem was destroyed. The Israelites were left broken, devastated, and without hope. Today, we see a world this is also broken and without hope. How do we face each day and walk through hardship without being left in the same place? Let's learn from Lamentations as it calls us to truth that change everything.

In the Psalms we see expressions and breathings of devout and holy affections. These songs were to guide and lead the people of God in worship. This morning let us walk through the affections of David in Psalm 16, and may we find these lyrics to be our own expressions toward the Lord of Glory.

When you hear the phrase “spiritual warfare,” what images, thoughts, or feelings come to mind? Are you dismissive, over-reactive, or do you lean in to learn more? Today, Paul shares vital closing truths about the ongoing cosmic spiritual battle & how we should respond as God’s people. Let’s let God’s word transform us today!

Work is an essential part of our lives by God’s design. What does God’s word have to say about work relationships? Whether you’re the boss or an employee, Jesus has some thoughts about ‘how” you work. Let’s learn and grow from God’s word today!

Everyone has an opinion about raising kids. We invest in parenting books, seminars, conferences, & counseling. Children often mimic the characteristics & mannerisms they pick up from their parents. Growing up is hard. Parenting is hard. But, God’s Word reveals the foundational building blocks of family life. Let’s trust God’s timeless Word & wisdom for the home this morning!

Paul calls us to be filled with the Spirit but what does this look like? Why is this important when looking at the role of a wife and husband? Let's open God's inspired Word and learn about his beautiful design in marriage!

Children often mimic the characteristics & mannerisms they pick up from their parents. As God’s children, in what ways should we resemble Him? Why does it matter? Let’s open God’s inspired Word and learn & grow this morning!

We all know that life as a follower of Jesus is supposed to be different. In Ephesians 4:17-32, we are reminded that God is at work in us to bring about a new life in Christ as we pursue Him in trust and obedience.

Today, we go back to the first Easter morning where the first witnesses of the resurrection find something obvious missing at the tomb. But, we find more than the body of Jesus missing. We find some things missing in the hearts of those who followed Jesus. Let’s open God’s word and consider what might be missing in our own hearts as well. He is Risen! He is Risen Indeed!

How should we measure church health? What are the markers? The first item on Paul’s applicational “to do list” for the church in Ephesus is health. Let’s take a look at what God’s word says and apply this to our church and our lives today!

How do you approach God in prayer? What kinds of things do you pray for fellow believers? What do we need most from God on our spiritual journey? Can He provide it? If so, what’s our response? A lot of key questions answered about the outworking of the Christian life in today’s text!

The mystery of the gospel is revealed- the Gentiles grafted into the body of Christ. What now does this mean for us? What are the implications of this truth and how does it change the way we live? Paul uses his own life as an example for us to witness and learn from!

Perhaps you enjoy restoration projects- seeing something old, mangled, or broken down transformed back to its original or updated condition. The truth is, we are God’s reclamation projects! Ephesians 2 is a picture of what God does to restore his children. Let’s open God’s word and see how God is restoring us to Himself and others!
