This week we’ll get a front row seat to hear Paul preach the gospel in Asia Minor. Observing his strategy and priorities we’ll gather some cues for our own evangelism efforts (Acts 13).

The Great Commission requires that some of us go forth to reach the nations. This week we take a look at the instigation of Paul’s first missionary journey (His “going forth”) and the amazing showdown with dark powers on the island of Cyprus.

Religions are largely tied to location. Israel centers on Jerusalem, Islam has Mecca and Medina, but where is the center of Christianity? Join us this week as we see a shift in religious thinking found in the 11th chapter of Acts.

Have you ever had a meeting consequence? That is, a meeting that made a profound impact in your life? In this sermon, we learn about Peter's meeting with Cornelius which brought the opportunity of salvation through Jesus Christ to the Gentiles.

“Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.” In this session we’re going to look at some of the traveling ministry of Simon Peter, and see him honor The Master with his evident imitation.

Who do you know who is the least likely to every convert to Christianity? God specializes in bringing around the people we are inclined to write-off as a lost cause. Such is the case with the pivotal person we’ll be looking at this week. Join us as we’re introduced to Saul of Tarsus, a most-unlikely convert to Christ!

Are you convinced that Jesus rose from the dead? I’m not asking whether you are willing to affirm it, I’m asking whether you think it is probabilistically true. This week we gather to consider what the preponderance of evidence indicates.

This week we’ll reflect on Palm Sunday by studying Jesus’ triumphal entry in Luke 19. How does God’s own people receive their King when He makes His humble return mounted upon a donkey? Join us to find out!

This week we’ll be studying Acts 8, watching as the adversary’s plan to crush the church backfires spectacularly, as the church spreads throughout all of Judea and Samaria. Our focus will follow yet another pivotal person from the early church: Philip the Evangelist! (Join us as we study Act 8)

This week we’ll examine the first martyrdom in Christian history: a man ready to defend his hope, even by laying down his life. This week, we’re in Acts 6:8-8:3, examining Stephen before his accusers.

After being delivered from Egypt it didn’t take long for the Hebrews to grumble about how well they ate while slaves. After being delivered from sin and death it didn’t take long for believers to grumble over growling stomachs yet again. Join us as we see how the early church responded to the threat of hunger and division.

God’s message cannot be caged, His gospel won’t be silenced, His people won’t be shaken – Not by jealousy, jails, or judgment. Join us as we see God’s directive to boldly proclaim His Word, even in the midst of trials and persecutions.

This week we gather to examine generosity and look at a rather strong warning from God about allowing self-interest or self-promotion to corrupt what otherwise might have been a great good. Join us as we study Acts 4:32-5:11.

After healing the man born lame Peter and John find themselves on trial before the same powerful men who handed Jesus over to Pilate to be crucified. Join us this week in Acts 4 as the disciples make sense of their role in the unveiling of God’s plan of salvation.

Peter, with a healed man clinging to him, proclaims the same restoration that has come upon the lame man can come to all who repent and return to God. What was dead can live again. Join us this week as we study Acts 3 as Peter makes a proclamation of restoration.

Peter stands up to preach the first sermon of the church age, and the one word that best-describes both the sermon and the reception is CONVICTION. Join us this week as we study Acts 2:12-47, and watch the church take her first public stand.

The second chapter of Acts contains the emergence of the church in power. This week we gather to study the climax of that gathering on the day of Pentecost, along with the significance of the timing of Pentecost.

Last week we discussed our status as “Chosen,” understanding that we are part of God’s eternal plan, and this week we’re going to look at the kinds of choosing that the chosen do, as we investigate freewill, determinism, and how God’s timelessness/eternal nature may explain how these two seemingly contradictory notions may actually be in harmony. (Acts 1:12-26)

We start with the first chapter of Acts in our year-long series. Who was Theophilus? What was it like for the Apostles during the 40 days Jesus was with them? What was it like when He ascended into Heaven?

If you’ve been a part of the church for any amount of time, you’re probably well acquainted with sermons, but we don’t tend to give much thought to what our role in the sermon might be. Join us this week as we consider the scriptural mandates on how to hear a sermon.

Hospitality is a word we use frequently in the church to describe relating rightly to others. The term references a warm reception, or friendly and generous receiving of other persons. This week we’re going to examine the concept of hospitality and discuss where and how we fail to prove worthy of our Rabbi in practice of this discipline

Those who refrain from work know they will lose money, and those who avoid markets may lack food, so what does the believer miss out on when he refuses to gather? What do we miss, what do we lose, when we refuse to gather with other Christians? Join us this Sunday as we consider the way gathering transforms disciples from the inside out.

When you think of confession, chances are you think of personal guilt and shame? Perhaps you think of the whole enterprise as ugly and unpleasant. Would it be strange to think of confession as beautiful? This week we examine the role of confession in the lives of disciples.
