As we come to the conclusion of Paul’s letter to Titus we turn from internal concerns to external ones. How is the church body to engage in society? How is each member called to defend the body against threats? In this session we look at Paul’s charge to a growing church to be and defend Christ’s body to a watching world.

Who has the right to tell you who you are or who you should be? Most people view themselves as the sole authority on determining their conduct. But what if there is a God? Does that God have a right to command your actions and behaviors? In this session we look at Paul’s call to live in a countercultural fashion… forging a better version of you!

In this session we’ll be talking about authorities God has ordained for the defense of disciples as we delve into the first chapter of Paul’s letter to Titus.

Seeing the persecution of our fellow disciples around the world, it can be daunting trying to figure out what God would have us do? This week we’ll look to scriptural directives about how we are to handle persecution.

In this message we will address the three questions that every human should be able to answer, and we will suggest that Christian-discipleship offers the most profound answer to the three.

This week’s message is a call to kindly wipe out faulty foundations and shoddy-spiritual-construction, by following in the Master’s steps and asking good questions… dangerous questions, we might even say catastrophic questions.

You might find this a strange take on advancing the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, but this week we’ll look at the role of provoking-jealousy in evangelism.

The first step in successfully communicating the gospel is showing up. In fact, a person’s presence alone can make a radical difference for good in the world. Join us as we examine Jesus’ discussion of Salt and Light, and our practical application of these principles.

Our Rabbi kept company with some people that would be deemed “undesirable,” by religious types. Jesus was actually known (in a derogatory fashion) as the “Friend of tax collectors and sinners” (Luke 7:34). This week we’ll gather to investigate Jesus’ example and calling, regarding friendships.

This week join us as we follow the signs of the fifth Jewish feast, Shavuot–Pentecost, signs that ultimately beckon disciples to go to the nations to do what Jesus has commanded us in the comfort and fullness of the Holy Spirit.

I’ve given you my life, Lord, why do I continually have these struggles? Why pain? Why trauma? Why Conflict? We know that God promises that these issues do not make it into the afterlife, so why might God desire that they remain with us in the present? Join us as we examine the function of our pain as it relates to evangelism.

We join Paul in Athens to consider our call to go and do, to go to the nations and make disciples. What does Paul’s stand at Mars Hill teach us about evangelism today? Join us to find out!

We conclude this series by discussing the discipline of shunning… seriously! We’re talking about Paul’s directive on when it is appropriate to ignore or even disfellowship people.

How are disciples to wrestle with difficult passages of Scripture? How can we be united in the midst of disagreements? Join us as we shrewdly consider varying ways of discerning the Man of Lawlessness in the second chapter of Paul’s second letter to the church of Thessalonica.

What is the point of suffering? Why does God allow it in our lives? How should a disciple respond? How should we pray about it? Join us as we look for answers in the first chapter of Paul’s second letter to the church of Thessalonica.

This week we’ll wrap up 1 Thessalonians by examining Paul’s final charge to these disciples. An absolutely loaded rapid - fire set of principles for relations between disciples and leaders, disciples and disciples, and disciples and God.

Where do you find your greatest comfort and encouragement? Is it by anticipating the termination of life as we know it on planet earth? Strange as it may sound, this is one of best ways to keep upbeat. This week we talk about living resurrection ready!

Disciples mourn strangely. We do not grieve as the world grieves, as those who have no hope. By God’s grace, even our misery can bring Him glory. Join us this week to hear Paul’s words of comfort to a grieving church.

We are always leaving an impression on those around us. Join us this week as we discuss some of the Public Relations implications of conduct and misconduct discussed by Paul in 1 Thes 4:9 - 12.

When it comes to human sexuality what is immoral and why is it immoral? How should a disciple discern this matter. Join as we examine this issue in Paul’s discussion with the Thessalonian church.

This week we’re going to be examining the role of concern in the life of a disciple (student/learner of the Rabbi Jesus) . How are love and concern expressed in the form of a spiritual discipline? Who or what is worthy of our concern? Join us as we examine proper Christian concern for the community.

The bonds of Christian discipleship are many and mighty. Perhaps none so potently connects us as shared suffering. Join us as we hear Paul address this bond in the second chapter of 1st Thessalonians.

Paul is clearly working on defending his reputation early on in the letter to the Thessalonians. It’s actually a blessing for us that he had to do this, as it forced Paul to expound on principles he uses when discipling a church. Join us as we hear Paul address money, labor, and leadership relating to brand new Christian disciples.
