History has a direction and a purpose. Knowing the destination helps the believer to wait eagerly and patiently for their hope to be fulfilled. God’s wonderful plan is to bring all of creation including us to fulfil our intended purpose. This means that our lives now have meaning, purpose and direction too.

In the first of a two part mini-series in Advent, Chris explores the sense of waiting for the coming Christ and explores how knowing what we are waiting for should affect how we wait. He also asks us to consider the question "Would your life be different if you saw Jesus enthroned over the nations?"

As church is the gathering of people saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ and empowered by the Holy Spirit, Holy Spirit must be at the heart of every healthy church. Chris reviews the evidences of the Spirit's presence in the New Testament church and outlines the marks of a Spirit-filled church today. We then seek to keep in step with the Spirit by seeking His gifts of healing.

Jesus' birth, teaching, power, sacrificial death and resurrection were all the result of the work of the Spirit. Jesus told the disciples that because He lived with them the Spirit lived with them and would one day live in them. Having reflected on what the life and teaching of Jesus reveal about Holy Spirit, Chris outlines how we are seeking to respond as a church.

We begin our new series on the person and work of the Holy Spirit by tracing the work of Holy Spirit through history from Genesis to Revelation. Chris highlights the Spirit's role in contending with humanity and bringing order out of chaos. He concludes with a call accept the free gift of the water of life which is available to all who call on the name of the LORD.

Following on from our away day, Richard Lewis preaches on Ephesians Chapter 4 vs 7-13 and the ministry gifts that God gives to build the Church.

God has made every one of us unique yet we are more like some people and less like others. Using a biblical approach Chris applies Paul's teaching in Romans 12 to help us to think of ourselves with sober judgment in accordance with the faith God has given us. He then goes on to encourage us to exercise our gifts according to the grace given to each of us.

Jonathan Burroughs leads us through a study in the life of Rehoboam, looking at family history and the relationship between God and David, Solomon and Rehoboam. He challenges us to examine our relationship with God and to have more of a true heart-relationship with him just as David did.

In this harvest service, Stefan Kaye from Tearfund brings to our attention the plight of the people of Chad.

In a special service for Back to Church Sunday Chris examines the parable of the lost sheep. He shows that Jesus cares about each of us, comes searching for us and does not leave us where we are but joyfully returns us to the flock.

An All Age Service concluding our series on the life of Jesus led by Rev Chris Johnson. We celebrate together the life, death and resurrection of Jesus as we remember Him and share communion.

As we continue our exploration of some key events in Jesus' life we come to the Transfiguration. Chris examines Luke's account, brings the good news that Jesus did not stay on the mountain but went to the cross and asks how we can respond to the revelation which was witnessed that day. He challenges us to listen to Jesus in our current situations.

Jesus was tempted in every way as we are yet without sin. We do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathise with our weaknesses. He defeated satan in every battle and especially in the final battle on the cross where satan's power through sin and death are broken. Chris explores our calling in the light of Jesus' victory.

In the first section Chris examines the childhood of Jesus and calls us to live extraordinary lives in the midst of the mundane.
