Jesus As God Depicted On The Cross From The 1st Century: The Alexamenos Graffito 24.02.2021

The Alexamenos Graffito is one of the most striking depictions of early Christianity. It shows a Roman Soldier with an upraised hand worshipping a man on a cross with a donkeys head. The Arch of Titus in Rome and its Biblical Significance 20.02.2021

Titus’ Triumphal Arch in Rome Italy is a reminder set in stone the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD. Among items depicted on the relief are a Scroll of Law, trumpets, the menorah, and the table is shewbread. These items would have been in use in the time of Jesus and Zacharias. God bless you today! The Pool of Siloam and Baptism on the Day of Pentecost 19.02.2021

On the southern edge of the city of David is the Pool of Siloam. Actually, 2 pools are there, 1 from Hezekiahs time and one from the time of Jesus. These rock cut pools were probably where the 3,000 were baptized on the Day of Pentecost, due to its proximity to where Peter would have been speaking. God bless you today!

The High Priest Caiaphas Ossuaries Discovered! 17.02.2021

2 finds, one in 1990, and another in 2011, have Caiaphas’ name inscribed on them. Caiaphas evidently had at least 2 sons, one named Joseph and the other named Yeshua, and a granddaughter named Miriam according to the inscriptions. This fascinatingly confirms one of the major characters of the New Testament as being historical. God bless you!

The Dead Sea Scrolls: A Remarkable Series of Discoveries 17.02.2021

The initial discovery was in 1947 by a Bedouin shepherd boy. Over the next several years a total of 980 texts, consisting of 30,000+ fragments were discovered in various caves at Qumran. The texts are not al Biblical, but every OT Book but Esther was found. These date from about 300 BC-68 AD. The famous Isaiah Scroll is housed at the Shrine of the Book in Jerusalem.
