The Gabbatha, the judgment seat where Pontius Pilate judged Jesus, has been uncovered in Jerusalem. It is near the great Temple Mount, and is in the Fortress Antonia. Yet another great confirmation of the authenticity and historical reliability of Scripture. God bless you today!

Straight Street in Damascus is still in existence. A Church was built there in the 2nd Century AD. This was the site of Paul’s conversion and healing. Damascus is considered to be the oldest continually inhabited city in the world. God bless you today!

The Alexamenos Graffito is one of the most striking depictions of early Christianity. It shows a Roman Soldier with an upraised hand worshipping a man on a cross with a donkeys head. It says he is worshipping his God. This shows among other things, that Jesus was worshipped as God very early. The depiction dates from the 1st-3rd century AD. God bless you today!

Over a century ago, Sir William Ramsey went to the Mediterranean to disprove Luke and Acts. After several years is study, he converted to Christianity. Luke is shown as a precise Historian by all standards, and the Bible is shown to be true. God bless you today!

Yehohanan, a crucifixion victim, was discovered in 1968 in North Jerusalem. He still had a 7 inch Roman spike in his heel, and wounds in his forearms. His full name was Yehohanan Ben Hagakol. God bless you today!

Evidence for the Tomb of Lazarus is quite strong. It was identified as such in the 2nd century AD. It was renamed the place of Lazarus very early as well. It’s geographic location on the east side of the Mount of Olives also fits. God bless you today!

Titus’ Triumphal Arch in Rome Italy is a reminder set in stone the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD. Among items depicted on the relief are a Scroll of Law, trumpets, the menorah, and the table is shewbread. These items would have been in use in the time of Jesus and Zacharias. God bless you today! On the southern edge of the city of David is the Pool of Siloam. Actually, 2 pools are there, 1 from Hezekiahs time and one from the time of Jesus. These rock cut pools were probably where the 3,000 were baptized on the Day of Pentecost, due to its proximity to where Peter would have been speaking. God bless you today!

Prior to the 1800s, the Pool of Bethesda was considered a myth, and hence the Gospel of John was inauthentic. With its discovery underneath a 5th century AD Byzantine Chapel, it is now seen as assiduously proving in minute detail the Gospel of John. God bless you today!

2 finds, one in 1990, and another in 2011, have Caiaphas’ name inscribed on them. Caiaphas evidently had at least 2 sons, one named Joseph and the other named Yeshua, and a granddaughter named Miriam according to the inscriptions. This fascinatingly confirms one of the major characters of the New Testament as being historical. God bless you!

The initial discovery was in 1947 by a Bedouin shepherd boy. Over the next several years a total of 980 texts, consisting of 30,000+ fragments were discovered in various caves at Qumran. The texts are not al Biblical, but every OT Book but Esther was found. These date from about 300 BC-68 AD. The famous Isaiah Scroll is housed at the Shrine of the Book in Jerusalem.
