At the Movies with William Fletcher

After taking a month break, I'm back. This week I will be covering the filmography of Edgar Wright in anticipation of his new release, Last Night in Soho.

This week I'm discussing the films I watched in the month of October. Some of the audio gets a bit messed up in the middle so apologies for that one. 

Concluding our Martin McDonagh trilogy with Three Billboards. Much more serious than the previous two episodes. Potentially triggering topics are discussed so viewer discretion is advised. 

The second part of the trilogy covering Martin McDonagh's filmography, Seven Psychopaths. More discussions of similar topics as the last episode such as unintentional racism as well as the brilliance of Sam Rockwell. 

This week marks the beginning of a trilogy of episodes covering the career of Martin McDonagh. First up is the 2008 film, In Bruges where we have discussions on dwarves and unintentional racism.   

This week's episode will be me talking about the films I watched in September. 

This is the plan for the future as well as an explanation as why there is no episode being released today. 

This week will be my full ranking of the live action Star Wars films from the original trilogy to the prequels to the sequels to everything in between. 

This week's episode covers Joseph Gordon-Levitt's directorial debut, the romantic comedy, Don Jon. 

Sorry for the gap between episodes. I was sick (which is also why the audio isn't great) but I was able to get this episode out for this week.

This week the podcast will be covering the Natalie Portman lead film, Black Swan. Dealing with topics such as assault and abuse, this episode doesn't feature as much comedy as usual but still creates interesting discussion. 

This week I will be covering a classic from 1975. The Sidney Lumet directed Dog Day Afternoon.

Unfortunately, I was unable to get a proper episode of the show recorded for this week so I'm instead releasing an episode I promised a little while ago. My full Pixar ranking which I completed last month.  

For this week's episode we will be covering the cult-classic TV series, Firefly as well the follow up movie Serenity.    Apologies for my audio as there are times where it cuts out. 

This week I will be covering the early Studio Ghibli work. The 1988 anime war/drama, Grave of the Fireflies.  

A different kind of episode this week. This episode covers the South Korean film, Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter... and Spring. An obscure film but for sure interesting film to analyse.

This week will be the first half of a two part ranking episode. The entire ranking of the MCU films to celebrate the release of Loki and the upcoming release of Black Widow.
