Diving back into the Evil Dead franchise with a look at the last release, Evil Dead Rise, as the newest film in the franchise, Evil Dead Burn, finally releases. We also get into the other Evil Dead films, where the next one should be set and upcoming 2026 releases.

The first, and hopefully only time, that we are covering Illumination on this podcast with a look back at Despicable Me and the Minions films. We get into the history of Illumination as well as a look at other companies in the animation sphere and the career of Pharrell Williams. 

We're going back into the DCU with the next major project in the franchise with Supergirl with the show going back to the 1984 film. We also look at the landscape of female led superhero films, Superman (2025) and the "controversies" around the upcoming Supergirl film.

Another redux episode this week as we look at the film that started it all for Pixar with a look at Toy Story as well as all the following sequels and the spin-off. We also get into crying as men, technology used by kids and general Pixar chat.

We're back to cover another Spielberg film (he's got a new one out this week so you know) and we get into his career, aliens and the definitions of genres (somehow again).

Concluding the two-parter with a look at how Disney has done with Star Wars and how it compares to George Lucas' Star Wars.

One of the biggest blind spots in the podcast history is being covered over the next two weeks with a retrospective look at the Star Wars franchise with this week being focused on the pre-Disney era of the franchise with the original trilogy and the prequel trilogy. 

Delving back into the world of video games this time with the far more mature and violet realm of Mortal Kombat. 

As a prefacer there were some technical difficulties so apologies for those. We're looking at the beloved 2006 film The Devil Wears Prada to tie into the upcoming sequel as well as discussing fashion and legacy sequels.

No, there isn't a new Brendan Fraser film out but instead a new Mummy film from Blumhouse which we are tying this week's episode into. We do talk about the Fraser Mummy films along with the original 19322 version and the 2017 Tom Cruise vehicle.

A bit more of an out there episode this week as we look at Nirvanna the Band (not the Kurt Cobain one) with a look from their start with the 2007 web series to the 2017 show on Vice culminating with our main discussion being on the recently released film.

We're doing something very out of line with the show again this week as we are looking at a video game franchise with a look at the Super Mario Bros. game series.

We're having a little bit of a TED Talk this week (get it?) with a look at the Ted film series along with the recent TV show as well as a look at Seth MacFarlane's career as a whole.

We're looking at comedy adjacent work this week with a retrospective look at the directorial efforts of Lord & Miller as well as briefly touching on other projects in their catalogue. 

Slightly later than usual but before the actual ceremony as the show embarks on the annual Oscars special with a look at the Best Picture nominees and the general Oscars race this year.

We're back to look at Pixar again with the release of Hoppers looming ahead, we're looking back at the 2009 favourite, Up. 

Another big franchise retrospective this week for the show as we look back through the history of the Scream franchise with talks on the slasher genre, the mess that appears to be the upcoming Scream 7 and Matthew Lillard (obviously).

The show is here with a new Valentine's special with myself and my guest choosing two films to cover for this week's episode to celebrate Valentine's.

Going for a look at a film adaptation of a book with Wuthering Heights we well as looking at the upcoming adaptation and the controversies surrounding it.

The first of presumably many directorial filmography retrospectives this year with a look back at the 40+ year career of Sam Raimi. 

Instead of tying into a new release, we're just talking about a film because we can. It's also a long time coming as we're finally properly talking about a Matt Damon film with Good Will Hunting as well as talking about Boston accents and love (aw).
