A torrential Southern downpour totally wiped out my sacred circle. All that's left are the scars on the forest floor. Studying our own scars, have we learned from them? Are they part of our continuous story?

A very cold winter's day in Carolina played with my imagination and continuation to learn how to survive like an animal. No matter what, their stories grow beyond such things like cold. Learning how to become stronger through animal studies.

Naked are the trees. No leaves. It plays with the mind. Kind of makes you wonder what they see in us. I may pay the taxes for this unbelievable forest, but I've never seen it as mine. I'm only a bystander. One day I'd love to be as free as the six point buck standing in front of me eating what I truly can't see.

Christmas Day. Strolling through the forest. The deer are amazingly playful. As if to be laughing at our Christmas jammies. Learning how to be present is a valuable tool during our personal experiences and outreach. Getting there isn't always an easy decision.

I've lived in this forest for over 32 years. None of it's history was shared before that first step. Maybe it wasn't important to those moving in. I'm the odd ball that's chosen to not let that happen anymore. Breadcrumbs lead up to the source of the story. Collect yours then share them to get the story of where you live into the hearts of those who don't know the story.

The forest is very wet from a huge rain storm. The slow moving stream has taken on the image of a wild mountain river. It's dimly lit beneath the huge grey clouds. There are no animals to be seen. The trees look sad. I feel sad. Dread and doubt. How can we turn this around to create a positive day?

Like hurling a stone across the surface of a lake. Life in this forest is happening all too quickly. In time I'll sink into the history of the lake. This is why I'm trying to save all these forest stories! Learning to listen to the forest is a lifelong walk and journey. What are the real chances another person will ever get to touch these stories again. How can we keep them above water?

It's called having "me" time. Learning how to tap into your inner willingness. I find peace inside a forest. You might get your peace from being seen at a Starbucks. The art of learning how to tap into you. Me time!

I've lived in this forest for 33 years. I've never stood next to another person by the lake. I've only shared one conversation with the bee keeper. How is it that this forest is blessed with so many families but those of us who cherish the forest say nothing at all?

This writing journey physically began in May of 2015. I was writing each week at the Billy Graham Library in Charlotte, NC. A podcast grew from the writing. It's been through three name changes due to my journey to not travel to the library but rather to write in my own forest which bares the name Rainbow. The Lyrics from Rainbow Forest.
