The challenges of being the owner of a forest.  Do you allow the forested floor to be natural with fallen branches and leaves or is this a selfie moment and it's got to be uncluttered and clean.  Your answer will serve as a tool in multiple areas of your personal life.

Something feels very different in the forest this moment in spring. The birds seem more active and very unafraid. Like the deer they want to be extremely close to me. I can count the feathers on their chest. What's going on? This is why we need to play close attention to everything that makes up our atmosphere of right now. This isn't about you. You are only a character in this story.

Rather than looking at a rainy day as being another reason or season to mope around... Take the time to find interest in the animals in your park, neighborhood or while visiting your back or front yard. They never come across as being depressed or a Debbie Downer.

A single tree at the tail end of winter is still covered with leaves. I don't think it's shouting, "Hey look at me!" I feel the message is based on teaching those who stop in for a visit that it's completely ok to be unique.

Leafless trees that can't identify which direction the wind is coming from. The water in the nearby lake acts like ballerinas dancing in ways that keeps them from slamming into each other. The several layers of bird songs and one daffodil. God's way of saying spring is on the way.

When the presence of your family continues to visit your sacred circle. How can you live so close to a large city and still hear the calling of the hawk? The hooting of the owls and a six-point buck?

A squirrel is driving Jazzie my Pointer crazy. Jazzie wants none of it. But why? She has her reasons and it's to offer the playful squirrel a clearer picture of what it's like to live this close to the humane lifestyle.

The leaves have fallen. I hear human voices coming from all paths. I never want to assume you're talking to me. The art of tuning out voices has become my strength especially when it comes to tuning out my voice. What I love is listening to a tree speak. To know what they've tucked away inside their rings. Trees speak with all living things above and below the ground.
